Friday Sketchers & Passion For Promarkers Challenge

Over at Passion For Promarkers they have the challenge of the colours 'Ruby & Gold' aswell as adding 'Gems or Jewels'. The only papers I had that were those colours were Christmas leftovers from last year and then the stamp problem and this was the only stamp that would fit the colours (not alot to colour though on this stamp). I have used this nice easy sketch from Friday Sketchers to create my card but I have rotated it. Please ignore the glue marks at the top and bottom of my photo, it just has not dried and I didn't have time to wait until it had.

Ruby - hat, scarf, berries
Bright Orange - Carrot nose's
Warm Grey 3 - nose & button's
Ivory - Snowmen & snowballs

The Sugar Bowl Challenge

Today I have made a card for The Sugar Bowl Challenge, I have never taken part in this challenge before as I only recently purchased my first four Sugar Nellie's. I have to say I am in love with them already and the stamp I used today has to be my favourite at the moment anyway!! The sketch by Judy was a real pleasure to work with and I am sure I will use it again.

I have coloured 'Daisy' with my promarkers and I have added 'Diamond Stickles' for the sparkle element of the challenge to all the flowers of the image aswell as to the button and the flower gems at the bottom of the card (unfortunately they are not easily seen in the photo apart from on the button).

Passion For Promarkers Challenge

This week over at Passion For Promarkers there is a great sketch to go with the colours of 'cornflower blue and cocoa'. The Design Team have come up with some really beautiful designs again.
Each week the design team have been giving us weekly tutorials on how to do different things with our pens. I have been following these week by week because I did not have a clue about building the different colours up or shading and I think I am gradually learning. This week I spent time following the tutorials as I coloured the jumper and trousers of my image and I am really pleased with how it turned out, however you cannot really see the shading in the photo. I have taken several photo's but to no avail.
The promarkers I have used are as follows:-
Mug - Apple
Face - Ivory, Blossom & Blush
Clothing - Cinnamon, Cocoa, Blue Pearl & Cornflower
Hair - Cinnamon, cocoa, henna, burnt umber & burnt sienna.

Supplies:-

  • 6" square card blank - Craft Superstore
  • Designer paper - DCWV 'Butterflies & Blossoms'
  • Blue cardstock - Paper Mill
  • Image - Sugar Nellie 'Hug in a mug'
  • Ink - Memento 'black & cocoa'
  • Sentiment - Papermania 'Signature Range'
  • Die - Nestie 'Classic Ovals'
  • Embossing - Cuttlebug 'Leafy Branch'
  • Punch - Xcut small & midi 'Daisy'
  • Brads, charm & gem - From stash.
Thank you for looking at my card.
