Natalie & Amy's 'Celebrate' Challenge

Good morning all. Well I know I haven't been around for over a week but there should have been a scheduled post on Saturday for My Time To Craft but it just doesn't want to post! I may have to copy and paste it all into a new post and see if that will resolve it.

I have had a lovely few days away in Lowestoft, Suffolk with my mum visiting my daughter, son in law, aunt and uncle. We stayed at my aunt and uncle's holiday home, some of you may remember I lived there for a couple of months last year after my house was sold but I hadn't found anywhere to move to here in Lincolnshire. It was lovely having the beautiful weather and being able to spend time with my family whilst we relaxed around the swimming pool, I'm sure my daughter appreciated being able to cool off in the pool as she is getting quite big now especially considering how poorly she was at the beginning last week and during the beginning of her pregnancy. It was so hot in hospital, the air conditioning wasn't working and there just didn't seem to be any air at all. The only downside to our trip was that we should have taken my grandson Harley with us to been entertained by my aunt and uncle whilst we were with my daughter but he was ill with a really bad high temperature so had to stay home with mum and dad. I told him we will go again around September time once the children are back at school and hope we still have some nice weather.

Anyhow enough of my adventure's lol, it is time for a new challenge over at Natalie & Amy's Challenge and this month it is time to 'Celebrate' as this is our 12th challenge. As it was a year ago that the challenge blog first started Natalie and Amy are very generously giving away 2 surprise prizes this month woo hoo.

As soon as I saw this challenge I knew which image to use and that is Saturated Canary 'Ellie's Birthday', I think this is a great image for birthday's. Sparkles Monthly 'Autumnal Colours' Challenge

Good morning all. Can you believe this wonderful weather we are having, we brought ourselves new garden furniture this year and I quite expected not to be able to use it but it is in constant use woo hoo. I love taking my book out and laying on my swinging hammock with it, it is so relaxing. In fact  yesterday after my trip to the Summer Crafting Show I slept for nearly 2 hours out there lol.

Anyhow enough of my garden talk, today is the start of a new challenge over at Sparkles Monthly and this month we have a colour challenge for you. We want to see your 'Autumnal Colours'. This month we are sponsored by Di's Digi's who have given us a $10 voucher for one of you wonderful winner's.

For my card I use the only papers I had that were remotely Autumn like from the First Edition 'Blank Canvas' range. I used one of my first ever Sugar Nellie stamps coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, then added the lovely Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die cut along with a new border die by Craft's Too which I brought at the show on Saturday. The border has little bows embossed in it but they don't show in the photo, it would of been better to of cut it in white and then inked it after embossing, next time! Just a few pearls added to finish it off.

Supplies:-
Designer Paper - First Edition 'Blank Canvas'
Image - Sugar Nellie 'Hug In A Mug'
Die Cuts - Crafts Too 'Bow Border' & Cheery Lynn 'Fancilful Flourish' available at Natalie & Amy's
Pearls - My Minds Eye

Skin - Sunkissed Pink, Dusky Pink & Blush
Hair - Walnut, Henna, Chestnut & Auburn

My Time To Craft 'Turquoise & Brown' Challenge

Good morning ladies, thank you for stopping by on this gorgeous morning. I am off to Doncaster today to meet up with Shell and spend a few pennies at the Summer Crafting Show.

Today is time for a new challenge at My Time To Craft and this week we are having a colour challenge of 'Turquoise & Brown'. These are two colours that I love together. For my card I have made a penny slider card using a file by Lori Whitlock (see below for details) from the Silhouette Store. For some reason the glue behind the velum is showing up in the photo yet is not seen on the actual card so please pretend it isn't there lol. The sentiment I made on the computer and cut out on my Silhouette using this lovely banner again from the Silhouette Store.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Velum - Papermania Scrap
Designer Paper - DCWV 'Adhesive Stack'
Die Cuts - A2 Penny Slider Card #42686 & 2 Banner Labels both by Lori Whitlock
Foam Tape - Stash
Penny's - Hubby's Wallet (It is all I allow him to have lol)

Challenges I would like to enter:-
Word Play - Birthday

Silhouette Challenges 'Faux Stitching' Challenge

It's the 8th of the month so that means it is my time to join in. It always begins on the 1st of every month and is time
for another Challenge over at

A blog dedicated to the Silhouette Cutting Machines.
You MUST use a Silhouette somehow in your project.

Ch# 3 Faux Stitching
Begins: Monday, July 1
Ends: Wednesday, July 31

Sponsors this month are:
Prize: $10.00 GC

Digi Pack (Winner's Choice)

Wow what a gorgeous day it has been again here in the UK and it is apparently going to get even hotter so make the most of it as it is sure not to last!

Ok so for this month's challenge I actually made two things again, I have made two different boxes. I made the first one but didn't think you could see the stitching very well so made another!

For this one I used the 3d Semi Circle Box by Samantha Walker (number below in supplies list), some Basic Grey Christmas papers called 'Nordic Holiday' and because they said Christmas papers I made a Christmas tag but now the box is made I think this could be used for several occasions as the paper isn't really Christmassy is it. I did the stitching by adding an internal offset and then changing the line stroke to the smallest stitch, changed out my blade and inserted the sketch pen and drew them in after cutting but before unloading my cutting mat. I love the sketch facility on the cameo but you can also get great results using print and cut. As long as you use the Silhouette Cameo in some way you can enter the prize draw.

This is the box closed up.

Here it is open

Showing off the stitching in case you can't see it in the other photo's

Tag back made using a Lori Whitlock file and the wording designed by myself and written with the sketch pen again.

Here is the front of it

This is my second box which I absolutely love and will now have to make another of for my other dog at Christmas time. This was made using the 3d Woof Box file by Jamie Cripps. I added the faux stitching again with the sketch pen, on the bone and the name I did an internal offset and changed it to the smallest stitch. Unfortunately I could not get the pen to show up on the wording very well, they are glitter pens so it is not very easy.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Sketching Marker - Silhouette Glitter Markers

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
Basic Grey - No Stamped Images
One Stop Crafts - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by.

Crafty Calendar Challenge 'Colour' Challenge

Good morning. Finally summer has arrived and boy is it hot. David my hubby went for a trial flying lesson yesterday, brought for him by my son and daughter in law for Father's Day and what a beautiful day he chose to do it. We all had a lovely time sitting in the field watching him whilst Harley merrily crawled around and ate the grass lol plus David thoroughly enjoyed the experience too so well worth it.

It is the first Saturday of the month and that mean's it is time for another challenge over at Crafty Calendar Challenge and this month we are challenged to use the 'Colours' shown below.
We have a great sponsor this month in Hannah Lynn who gave us some images to play with but I unfortunately couldn't get them to print properly. I have a new printer and I think the settings are not set correctly yet and don't think it has anything to do with the image's themselves.

For my card I was very unsure where I was going with it to start with but it just seemed to evolve and now I love it! I cut the background on my Silhouette Cameo using the 'Swirl Background' by Loni Leah Designs and the 'Underwater Scene' which is by Sarah Bailey. I have used another of my adorable Elisabeth Bell stamps, this one is called 'Oceanessa Mermaid'. The card looks a little spotty in the photo, this is due to it having been sprayed with a glitter but it just doesn't show the shine.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Boyes
Card Stock - Bazzill

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-
Skin - Oatmeal, Apricot & Blush
Hair - Saddle Brown, Cocoa, Nutmeg & Cinnamon
Tail - Turquoise, Marine & Island Lagoon
Seahorse - Tan, March Hare, Light Fawn, Cappuccino, Caramel & Sandstone

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
Heck Of A Challenge - The Sea
Bloggers Challenge - Own Background
Brown Sugar - At The Beach
Polkadoodles - Own Background
Sister Act - Anything Goes
Aud Sentiments - 2 Word Sentiment
Crafting For All Seasons - Girly

I am off to a garden party this afternoon with my mum which will make a nice change especially as I haven't seen her for over a week. That is after I have taken Sophie 6 and Samuel 5 my step grandchildren home as they stayed the night with us and we have had a lovely time together.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your weekend.
