My Time To Craft 'Things With Wings' Challenge

Good morning all. Hopefully Mr Blogger has played nicely and posted this for me whilst I enjoy myself in Malta. The weather should be a bit better than here but who knows anything is possible lol.

This week at My Time To Craft we are challenged to use 'Things With Wings' so be it a bird, a plane or whatever you choose what can you come up with?

I found this cute little love tree and owls in the Silhouette store and fell in love myself are they not the cutest. I added the L and cutout love just to complete the card. I didn't actually make this for anyone in particular however I have since had a request for it from my friends 10 year old grandaughter!

Supplies:-
6" Scalloped Square Card Blank - Boyes
Card Stock - Bazzill
Cut Files - Silhouette Store
Ink - Aged Mahogany

Just before I go I thought I would show you another 'thing with wings' and that is my Silhouette Cameo with I decided to customize with butterfly swirls and lettering. I cut the butterflies out of red vinyl and mirrored the image, then my name out of black vinyl. I am using this as an example for a demonstration I will be doing in a few weeks at my local craft shop.

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-

I will edit upon my return.

Thanks for stopping by, please pop by the challenge blog to see what the other girls have made for your inspiration.

See you soon. xXx

Moving Along With The Times 'Bling It On' Challenge

Good morning everyone, it is great to see you all on this cold and frosty morning.

Today it is Sue's turns to set the challenge at Moving Along With The Times and she chose 'Bling It On'. We are sponsored this week by Digi My World who generously gave us images to create with along with a prize for one of you.

Now my card doesn't look that blingy but that is purely because I could not get a good photo of it! It has mirri card behind the open hearts, it has cosmic shimmer which really twinkles all over the front plus the heart gems.

Just For Fun Card

Good afternoon all. Our snow looks to be melting a little which is good as we are due to go off on holiday on Friday!

Whilst on Facebook last night I saw a challenge asking for 'Children's Valentine' and it got me wondering what I would make for this. Over here in the UK we don't send Valentine's cards to our children nor do we make them for our children for school friends so it kind of threw me.

I found this little bee cutting file among my files, it was actually a tag file made by My Scrap Chick and decided to turn it into a card. I used the scalloped base layer of it to mirror image it and then welded that together,  cut out of white card at 4", then cut the original scalloped base in pink. I made my bee and added enamel accents to the black parts to make it pop (sorry it is still a little wet in the photo). I cut the 'mine' from a Silhouette file.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Enamel Accents - Ranger
Distressed Ink - Tim Holtz
Mine File - Silhouette

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-

That's all from me for today I will be back on Thursday with my Moving Along With The Times post. See you soon, stay safe and warm.

My Time To Craft 'Spotlight' Challenge

Good morning everyone on this cold and chilly Saturday morning but no snow here as yet! For those of you that do have it, enjoy but stay safe.

This we at My Time To Craft we have been challenged to use the 'Spotlight Technique' on our creations. Now I really don't like doing this with stamped or digital images so I was looking for other ways people had done this and found the way I used which is to die cut images and spotlight one of those.

I didn't do very well with using my stash on this card except for three little gems on my spotlight butterfly and the sentiment stamp which is one I have had for years but very rarely use.

I have made this card for a neighbour who had a stroke over Christmas and is now stuck in a hospital in Cleveland, unable to get home until she recover's fully. She loves and spends all her time in her garden and especially butterflies and buddleja so I took the colour from the plant to go with the butterflies.

Gems - Anita's

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
ATC's & Cards - Add A Tag/Sentiment Or Anything Goes

Moving Along With The Times 'Floral Delights' Challenge

Good morning all. Brr it has got cold again hasn't it, we had to scrap the car yesterday before we could go out and that is just not on lol.

It's all change from this week at Moving Along With The Times because we have lots of new design team members join us. We have been split into two teams, this means we all post fortnightly now but you will still get weekly challenges and inspiration from both teams.

This week Hazel challenged us to 'Floral Delights'. Our wonderful sponsor this week who are A Passion For Stamps gave each of us an image to play with and I chose the lovely Fuschia image.

I cut my card base and the mat layer on my cameo from Bazzill card stock and everything else is from my stash. This year I am challenging myself to use up some of the stash I have had for years. On Saturdays card I used the pegs and today I used these butterflies for some sparkle and both of which I have had since I first started crafting. I placed a white backing behind the cut outs so it matched the dots on the ribbon.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Sentiment - Paper Pretties
Ribbon - Crafty Ribbon
Gems - Stash

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-
Greens - Forest Green, Leaf Green & Meadow Green
Pinks - Pink Lobster, Fushia Pink & Pink Carnation

My Time To Craft Meets Crafty Calendar Challenge.

Good morning all and Happy New Year. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and santa brought you lots of lovely pressies. We ended up having Christmas for New Year as both David and myself were ill and didn't want to pass it on so cancelled Christmas but it was lovely to finally see our family over the new year.

Today is the first Saturday of the month and the start of our new challenge at Crafty Calendar Challenge where the challenge is 'What's New?' and it is also the first challenge of the new year at My Time To Craft where the challenge is 'All About The New'. So for both challenges you can make anything to do with new such as baby, home, beginnings, job, car etc etc.

Because both challenges were the same I decided to make a sort of gift set for both. I took several photo's as it wasn't very clear all in one.

Here is the card which I cut on my Cameo and then embossed before adding the little pegs and baker's twine instead of the paper laundry line that came as part of the set.

I then cut this little gift box and glued the sides but as you can see from the photo I don't think I should have oops.

Next I made this little door sign to complete my set.

I didn't have anyone in mind for this set I just really like the design as soon as I saw it, however I do quite often get asked for baby cards so don't think this will be around for long.
Here is the set all together.
Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - Craft Creations
Embossing - Crafts Too 'Hearts' folder
Baker's Twine - My Craft Spot
Pegs - In My Stash Forever
Gems - Home Bargains.

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-

Creative Moments - Emboss It
Divas By Design - Anything Goes
For Fun - Something New
Freshly Brewed - Anything Goes
Simon Says - Something New
ABC - Embossing

That's all from me. I have Shell My Time To Craft owner and fellow Moving Along With The Times teamie coming for a visit today so it will be lots of giggles and maybe some crafting for the day.
