Missing and Moving

Good afternoon all.
I am alive honest!
We have moved out of our house and living in temporary accommodation with the view to hopefully be moving again around the 14th May to Scopwick in Lincolnshire.
The internet connection here in Corton, Suffolk is awful as is the phone signal so everything we do has to be worked around a car journey. I feel like an unpaid secretary, David drives and I catch up on all the necessary phone calls and internet business. It really is no joke.
So I hope to be back to normal (if there is such a thing) very soon, if not I may well of gone mad. I am so missing crafting, it is untrue.

Moving Along With The Times Vintage/Shabby Chic

Good morning well no it isn't really not in this house anyway! At least the weather has cheered up somewhat here in the East of England, the question is how long will it last?

We have been waiting weeks to sign our contracts for the sale of our house and we didn't want to pack until they were signed so as not to jinx anything (our last sale fell through just before signing and we had to unpack everything, well yesterday afternoon we got a call from our solicitors to say the other parties want to complete THIS Friday!! That gives us three days to arrange storage as we still don't have anywhere to live and get this 4 storey 7 bedroom house packed, not a chance and that is exactly what we told them lol. We told the solicitor next Wednesday at the earliest and would you believe they still have not come back to us nor have we even signed the papers so who knows what is going on. I feel so sorry for my poor hubby as I cannot help with the packing and he is running round like a headless chicken not knowing if he is coming or going. My mum has been here for a few days and done quite a bit and my daughter insists on helping even though she shouldn't, my son's and son in law to be will arrive at the weekend so hopefully all will fall into place, fingers crossed.

Anyway enough doom and gloom lol and onto the matter in hand, this week at Moving Along With The Times Sue challenged us to Shabby Chic or Vintage and this is so NOT my thing. I was completely stumped for what to make when I remembered my Cricut Heritage cartridge and this is what I created. I cut the penny farthing at 5", the lamp post at 5.5" and the fence at 3.5" but stretched it. I ran the fence section through the paper crimper although it doesn't show up too well in this photo, the bicycle and lamp post have been tripled embossed with velum added to the light panels of lamp before adding glossy accents. Not the best of card's but hey ho we have to learn from our mistakes.

Good evening all I hope you are all enjoying the Easter holidays, the weather isn't great here on the east coast of England but at least it isn't raining.

I started this card about a week ago and finally got it finished on Wednesday but haven't had chance to post it until now. It was a commissioned card for a 10 year old's birthday. The lady picked the image after seeing the last card I made with it, I don't use an image for months and then use it 3 times in about a month lol.  I have just realised I took the photo before adding the sentiment! Moving Along With The Times Va Va Voom

Well I can't say good morning because this weather is absolutely dreadful and so so cold, what a comparison from last week! I really hope the weather warms up for those of you going away for the Easter Holidays.

I am still on the hunt for a new house without too much luck but thanks to my Moving Along team mate's Lisa Jane's comment last week I now have the Occupational Therapist on the case so thanks Lisa. I hadn't even given them a thought, probably because the O.T assigned to me once out of hospital was so unhelpful!, luckily she has moved on and the new one seem's far nicer much like the original one I had whilst in hospital.

Right onto the matter in hand this week at Moving Along With The Times Shell set us the challenge of Va Va Voom (Sexy Ladies) and who better to sponsor us than Kenny K Designs

I have used the fabulous Bodacious Bev which I coloured with both Promarkers & Flexmarkers. Having made the card I was going to leave it without a sentiment until needed but a friend called by, saw it and asked if she could have it for her husband. She picked this sentiment from Raindrop Echo Designs to go with it and it makes me chuckle each time I read it.
