Crafty Sentiments Week 23 Challenge DT Card

Good morning, I hope you are all well this morning. Today's challenge starting over at Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog this week is a sketch challenge. Before we get to my card I wanted to make you aware of some changes to the challenge rules, here is what Suzette had to say:-
'There is a slight change to the rules we will allow you to use any stamp you wish for now and will review the rules at the end of the year. I will be offering some of the images as digital downloads so you can start collecting the Crafty Sentiments Stamps. I will also be offering 1 free digi download a month so you can start using our stamps on your cards/ projects'.
So don't forget to pop over to the Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog and pick up your free digi today. This weeks sketch is also a nice easy sketch to follow so now there really is no excuse for not joining in!!

Here is the sketch which you can rotate or flip if you wish.
Then here is my card
As soon as I saw this Amy stamp it reminded me of the beach or a swimming pool where she would be dangling her feet into the water, I was going to draw some water in but decided against it in case it looked silly lol.

Designer Paper - DCWV 'Spring Stack'
Image & Sentiment - Crafty Sentiments 'Barefoot Amy'

Belles & Whistle And Peechy Keen Stamps Challenge

Here is a quick card I made for the new Belles & Whistle Challenge where they have the theme of 'D.I.Y Flowers' and Peechy Keen Stamps who have the theme of 'Recipes'. I have used one of my favourite Belles & Whistle stamps appropriately called 'Warm Apple Pie' and have paper pieced parts of it. I have turned the recipe around as it was one I found on the internet and I didn't want to infringe on any copywrite. Both of these challenges end today so if you want to join in you will have to be quick.

Sorry for the bad photo we have a thunder storm going on at the moment and it is so dark.
Supplies:-
Card Base - Cut on cricut using SCAL 2
Designer Papers - DCWV 'Linen Closet'
Stamp - Belles & Whistle 'Warm Apple Pie'
Medium - Promarkers
Flower - Cricut Accent Essential Flower Layers
Leaf Branches - SCAL 2

I really enjoyed making this style of card so will definitely use it again and thanks for popping by.

Crafty Sentiments Week 21 Challenge DT Card

A good Sunday morning to you all, it is time for week 21's challenge over at Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog and this week we have another great 'Sketch' for you to follow. For my card I have used one of the five new release stamps that will be available to buy from the webshop on 6th June 2010. This stamp is called 'Amy on a cloud'.
To make the card background I cut out clouds from a square white base layer on my cricut and then used distress ink to colour the sky in between them. I used one of the cut out clouds for my sentiment.
Here is the sketch which I used rotated

Supplies:-
Cardstock - Paper Mill Shop
Designer Papers - An old DCWV 'Spring Stack'
Sentiment - Crafty Sentiments
Medium - Promarkers
Stickles - Lace for wings.

Before you head off to join in please pop over to the challenge blog and have a look at all the other creations made this week by the design team.

Crafty Calendar Challenges DT Card

Good morning it's the first Friday of June and that means it's time for another Crafty Calendar Challenge. This month the challenge has been set as a theme and that theme is 'Bugs & Beastie's' with the added option of 'Wings'. I had completely forgotten that I hadn't made my card for this month, how naughty, so had to quickly come up with something yesterday afternoon and to make matters worse I had no bugs or beasties as such. I could manage the wings though as I had seen a beautiful svg file which I knew I would use one day, and turned it into the shape of this butterfly card which I then added another layer to to create the 3d wing's. The butterfly file was created by Beth aka My Cricut Scrapbooking and I used my cricut along with Sure Cuts Alot 2 to turn it into a card.
I used Core'dinations Gemstone cardstock to make this which has the most gorgeous shimmer to it but the photo just does not do it justice.

Here it is from a front view:-

Here it is from the side showing the 3d effect.

Supplies:-
Core'dinations Gemstone Cardstock - Craftmania
Butterfly - Created By Beth aka My Cricut Scrapbooking
3d Foam Squares - Local Craft Shop
Gems - Anita's Gem Wheel & Papermania Shimmer Dots.

Now it's your turn but first of all please pop over to the Crafty Calendar Challenges blog to see all the other wonderful creations.
