Moving Along With The Times Celebrate Challenge

Good morning all and it really is a good morning, the weather is lovely. The first time the sun has shone since we have been at this holiday home and we finally have a moving date YAY. We will be moving on Monday with our furniture arriving on Tuesday. The only downside is that we can't get our phone or internet on until 11th June so I will be missing for a couple of weeks.

Anyhow onto the matter in hand, it is my week to set the challenge at Moving Along With The Times and I chose Celebrate but NO BIRTHDAY'S so that means new baby, new home, wedding, anniversary or anything else you want to celebrate except birthdays.

The design team did a fabulous job this weeks with their creations, thank you ladies.

I set out to make a baby card for a friend that is due a little girl in a couple of weeks and first of all I remembered I didn't have any ribbon or lace here so went to buy some but all I could get was what I have added temporarily as I just don't think it works well. Then the sketch I chose had a tag element to it, which I love but I usually cut tags on my Cricut using SCAL 2 but that is on my computer which is in storage and I only brought about 5 cartridges with me and  would you believe not one of them has a tag on them. So I have made a makeshift tag for now and will change it out once I have my supplies back.

Moving Along With The Times Nautical Challenge

Good morning all. What can I say ever since we have been living in this holiday home we have had awful weather for it, I bet the day we move out it will be brilliant sunshine lol.  It looks like our day for moving could now be 21st May but still waiting for confirmation.

This week at Moving Along With The Times Leesa set us the challenge of 'Nautical' and I didn't have to think about this one for long. I used this old stamp from Crafty Sentiments that I haven't used in ages but had to make the card twice!. My godchildren called in to see us just as I had finished making three cards for up coming design team challenges when the youngest who is 4 put his sealed drinking beaker on the table next to them. Beings as it was sealed I thought they were safe, however he had dropped it on the walk from the car to our chalet and it must of pierced the edge, a little while later a pool of orange juice had appeared and all three cards were mopping it up.

Crafty Calendar Challenges May Challenge

Good morning, good morning. Wow two cards in one week that is a record at the moment lol.

As it is the first Saturday of the month it means it is time for another Crafty Calendar Challenge and this month our challenge is 'Things with wings' and the optional extra of 'Use acetate'.

For my card today I had to dig deep to find an image with something that had wings and this is the best I could come up with, oh how I miss all my crafty supplies! I used 'Nice to meet you' from Little Darlings and teamed it with this butterfly stamp that I stamped onto acetate with Stazon, this is not something I have done before on a card but I actually quite like the effect. I managed to use up some of my scraps from the Echo Parks 'A walk in the garden' range as well as some Bazzill scraps so I guess you could call this a scraped card lol.

6" Square Card Blank - Boyes
Card stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - Echo Park 'A Walk In The Garden'

Good morning all, I finally had a couple of hours to sit down and make a card and this is it.

This week at Moving Along With The Times Claire has set us the challenge of 'Summer Sunshine' and I had the perfect image already coloured for the job. I used really pretty new papers which I picked up at the range a few weeks ago now but just not had the time to use.

We are sponsors this week by the wonderful Di's Digital Downloads so a great prize to be had for one of you.

Sorry the photo is not great, I don't have my light tent here and I tried to take it as close to the window as possible but the weather is so overcast and dull it didn't really help.
