Natalie & Amy's 'Frame It' Challenge

Good morning all, it is time for another challenge over at Natalie & Amy's and this month we would like for you to 'Frame It' so create a frame around your image or the focal point of your project.

For my card I used this adorable image from Crafter's Companion Moonbeam Meadow range called 'Time For Tea'. It was coloured with a mixture of pens and pencils then the teapot had a coating of Glossy Accents added to it. The gloss has cracked in places and although I don't know why it has done this it does work for a china look lol. I created my frame by cutting four layers of the two largest die's in this set and gluing them together, I then cut the image from the second largest so it fir snuggly in the frame. I machine stitched all the layers together as well as the ribbon, this is normally a chore for me but I actually enjoyed doing it.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - Prima 'Annalee'
Ribbon - Stash
Dies - Spellbinders Labels 2

All items in RED are available from the store.

Teapot - Lime Green, Aniseed & Pale Citrus
Bunting - Red Sweater, Vermillion & Lipstick Red, Turquoise, Oasis & Cool Aqua
Tag, Box & Mouse - Caramel, Sranstone & Champagne
Stick - Cocoa & Cinnamon
Leaves & Grass - Forest Green, Bright Green & Leaf Green

Sorry I forgot to write pencil numbers down although there wasn't many.

That's all from me for today, have a lovely day.

Natalie & Amy's 'All About Love' Challenge

Good morning all.

Wow it is so so cold here, we had snow but it didn't settle as we had had rain through the night but I know a lot of you have it far far worse weather so stay warm and safe.

Anyhow onto the matter in hand, this month at Natalie & Amy's Challenge it is 'All About Love' so could be valentines, wedding, anniversary etc.

For my card today I used this adorable panda from Crafter's Companion called 'Party Paws - Love From Bamboo', the sentiment came from the same set. I decided on a scalloped 6" square card for this image and kept the papers to a minimum (really I was using my scraps lol). I coloured my image with a bit of a scruffy style to give him a ragged look and then added glossy accents to the heart and it really does shine but I cannot get it to show up on the photo's. All supplies are listed below with those in RED available in Natalie & Amy's Store HERE

My Time To Craft '2 Or More People' Challenge

Good morning all.

Today's challenge at My Time To Craft is to 'Use an image with two or more people in it'. There are numerous image's around blogland and the shops with more than one person yet I went completely blank when I first saw the challenge, now having made it I can think of several lol.

For my card I used this image called 'Together Forever' from Lili Of The Valley, it was another one that came in the art pad I brought. I used a single piece of First Edition Summer Breeze paper and just picked colours from that for my image. The ribbon was white to start but I coloured it to match with a promarker. A few little pearls added and the card was complete.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock & Designer Paper - First Edition 'Summer Breeze'
Pearls - Dovercraft (I think)

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-

My Time To Craft 'Love Is All Around' Challenge

Good morning all, I am seriously hoping Mr blogger is playing ball today as I am on holiday and hopefully relaxing not having to chase Mr Blogger.

My husband and I have been married for over 20 years and been together for 24 but this is our first EVER holiday alone!! We are a Brady bunch family with both of us having children before we met, I had a daughter and he had two son's which we brought up and then we had another son between us so we have always had children in tow. They finally all left home lol but even then we were stuck for someone to look after the two dogs as we won't put them in kennel's. However our youngest son is having some relationship problems and has come to stay at mum and dad's hotel so we thought we would take the plunge and make the most of our dog sitter lol. Wish me luck, it could be along week!!!

Anyhow, that is not what you came here for so onto the matter in hand. This week at My Time To Craft we are 'All About The Love' wedding, anniversary, valentines whichever kind of love you like.

I created this card which I initially thought of as a wedding card but I noticed (after I stuck it down) that the paper at the bottom says 'I love you' so will probably add an anniversary sentiment to it instead. It is still all about the love so it all good. Just for a change I used all die cuts on this card and nothing Silhouette related, now that is a shock for you! The image came from one of those art books I brought probably 2 years ago and always forget about. It is a Lili Of The Valley image called 'I Do'.

Supplies:-
6" Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - First Edition 'J'Adore'

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-
Skin - E21, E51, E50 & E00
Hair Female - Raw Sienna, Mustard & Buttercup
Hair Male - Walnut, Cocoa & Nutmeg
Clothes Female - Champagne & Linen
Clothes Male - Ice Grey 1, 2, 3 & 4
Hearts & Flowers - Firebrick & Burnt Umber

So that is all from me and I will catch up with you next week.

My Time To Craft 'Christmas In June' Challenge

Good morning people it is lovely to have you here. It has been one of those week's this week where lots has been done but I feel like nothing has been achieved!

We are off to the circus this evening with the grandchildren and it should be really good as none of them have ever been before which really surprised me. I do think it is a shame that the real old fashioned circus has gone although for the animals I am really glad.

Anyhow this fortnight at My Time To Craft we are looking for 'Christmas In June', so you now have the chance to get ahead with all those cards that in November you are panicking about!! I went with this sort of old fashioned Christmas card, the papers have that old feel to them and the image which I adore is one that can be used in many era's. I coloured this in more traditional fashioned colours but just added a little bit of purple to mix it up. The ribbon is purple but on my screen it looks black so not sure what you are seeing, it could be the green card stock behind that is causing that.

Supplies:-
6" Card Blank - Natalie & Amy
Card Stock - Bazzill
Sentiment - Crafty Sentiments
Ribbon - Crafty Ribbons

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-
Skin - Coral, Sunkissed Pink & Blush
Hair - Walnut, Auburn & Saddle Brown
Greens - Khaki, Pastel Beige & Soft Khaki
Purples - Purple, Lilac & Soft Mauve

Challenges I would like to enter this card into:-

That's all for today, see you soon and have a great weekend.

Silhouette 'Gift Bag' Challenge

It's the time for another challenge over at

Ch# 13 Gift Bag (No Boxes)
Begins: Thursday, May 1
Ends: Saturday, May 31

A blog dedicated to the Silhouette Cutting Machines.
You MUST use a Silhouette somehow in your project.

Sponsor this month is:

Vinyl Ease 30 Sheets of Permanent Adhesive Backed Vinyl for Craft Cutters,
6 by 12-Inch, Assorted

I had been wanting to make one of these bags since I first saw them in the Silhouette Store but had no reason to do so, then my daughter in law showed me a little collection of notes Sophie had been hiding away. I knew this was the perfect bag for her to hide all her little notes in and keep them safe.

When you get the 2 Strap Purse by Samantha Walker for this bag all the pieces fit on one 12" x 12" sheet but I wanted it to be two tone and to save me messing around I just cut everything out of my two colours. I then realised that as I had used a double sided sheet of paper I could make two different bags and here the are.

After everything was cut I ran the red bazzill pieces through my gand calibur with spellbinders embossing folder and then applied a coat of Mod Podge to them all to give them  that gloss finish and I have to say they look so much better in real life. My buckles and hinges are gold just like the brads but do not look so in the photo I'm afraid, there are also 4 gold brads on the base of the bag that act as feet and the buckle has a magnetic clip to keep for opening and closing.

I was going to keep the other bag to use as an actual gift bag however Sophie had another idea and wanted to give it to her best friend who she swaps notes with. I think that is really sweet and also educational as they are only 7 and getting good practice with both writing and spelling.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Embossing - Spellbinders
Clasp - Magnets

Natalie & Amy 'Stamping' Challenge

Good morning all, we are off to see our granddaughter tomorrow for a few days which will be lovely as she has grown so much since I last saw her in January but for David who hasn't seen her since she was a few weeks old it will be a bigger shock especially with Harley just a few miles up the road and seeing him at least a couple of times a week you don't notice his growth so much.

Ok so it is time for a new challenge at Natalie & Amy's and this month it is a super easy one 'Stamping' but it has to be rubber or acrylic NO DIGI'S.

For my card I used the adorable Humphrey again, I really must treat myself to some new one's. When they first came out I was saying "oh no I won't use those" yet I find myself turning to this little ellie time and time again lol. I have used First Edition 'Animal Antics' papers and a Spellbinders Edgeabilities die however I managed to use the one that is not available in the shop! The little bit across the top is the off cut from the bottom die cut. Not many items used on this card today. I just noticed I didn't add the sentiment, I have added the sentiment that comes with the stamp now.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy
Die - Spellbinders Edgeabilities

ALL LINKS IN RED ARE AVAILABLE IN NATALIE & AMY'S STORE.

Natalie & Amy 'Embossing' Challenge

Good morning. Firstly did you remember to put your clocks forward an hour?  Secondly wishing a Happy Mother's Day to my dear mum and all those worthy mum's out in blogland.

Ok onto business we have a new challenge for you this month at Natalie & Amy's and it is super easy 'Embossing'. This can be either heat or dry embossing the choice is yours. I ended up with dry embossing, I did try to heat emboss the sentiment but couldn't get an even coverage so gave up.

For my card today I used this cute little rubber stamp by Nellie Snellen called Christmas With Dawn but as you can see I made a birthday card. I think this image is one of those that could be used for several occasions as it has nothing specific on it to tie it. I added some stickles around the embossed part of my die cut for a little sparkle.
Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Sentiment - Papermania
Die Cuts - Spellbinders Classic & Scalloped Squares & Edgeabilities
Embossing - Cuttlebug 'Happy Birthday'

My Time To Craft 'Sympathy' Challenge

Good afternoon all. I am really sorry this post should have been up this morning but I completely forgot to write it! No it was not Mr Blogger playing games for a change, it was purely moi.

OK so on with this week's challenge at My Time To Craft which is 'Sympathy', we all need these cards at times and not something you particularly want to be making as last minute.

I decided upon a different style of card for me again, I tell you not being able to colour and this week not having my silhouette to use either really has made me think about different styles and I quite like them. For my card this week I went looking on Pinterest for inspiration and came up with this quick and easy card from a mix of a few I liked.

I started with a piece of white 11" x 5" card stock folded in half, I then added a piece of blue Bazzill card cut down to 5.25" x 4.75" and then another layer of the white at 5" x 4.5". I stamped the Kaisercraft Flutter stamp in broken china distress ink onto this layer and added a couple of lines of ribbon before adding The Stamp Of Life sentiment onto a couple of nestabilities circles.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Ann Marie Designs & Bazzill
Ribbon - Stash

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
A Creative Romance - Lets Get Sentimental
Sister Act - Anything Goes
Crafty Girlz - Anything Goes
Baffies Creative - Everything Goes
Penny's Paper Craft - Monochromatic

My apologies and please delete if any of these challenges are not correct, it is a long time since I entered any.

That's all from me, see you all soon.

Natalie & Amy's 'For The Boys' Challenge

Good morning all how are you all? I hope you are all safe and not suffered any severe damage from the storm on Monday.

Wow it feels like forever since I last posted, in fact it has been a month and although I am still finding it hard to craft I have actually made a card don't faint on me lol. It is time for a new challenge at Natalie & Amy's and I thought to myself if I start really early I might be able to get a card done and yes it took awhile but I got there and it made me realise just how much I have missed crafting. I know I haven't left any comments lately due to my hands but I have by and looked at all your beautiful creations. I am currently awaiting an appointment to see a neurologist as my gp is not happy with my hand situation and also feels the hospital here need to know my story for future developments. I have also finally had an Occupational Therapy appointment and now waiting for them to come and assess my home to see what they can do with my bathroom as they couldn't offer any solutions at the outpatient appointment so all things are heading in the right direction.

Ok as I said it is time for a new challenge over at Natalie & Amy's and this month we are challenging you to 'For The Boys'. I used to hate making boys cards but with the great image's and perfect papers of late they are so much easier to make.

For my card I used some of the Dovecraft Back To Basics II papers and teamed them with this Sassy Sheryl image. I cut my border with a Spellbinders Edgeabilites Die then my image, sentiment and tag layers were all cut on my Cameo. I added a little jute twine to my tag but have just noticed it has slipped from where I placed it lol. All links to items used are below.

Supplies:-
Card Blank - 6" White Square N & A
Dimension Tape - Stick It 3d Foam Squares N & A
Image, Tag & Sentiment Layers - Lori Whitlock 6 Bracket Layer #34961

 Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-
Skin - Apricot, Oatmeal, Blush & Baby Pink for cheeks
Hat - Chilli Red, Red Rooster & Molten Red
Hair - Saddle Brown, Cocoa & Cinnamon
T-Shirt & Shoes - Chartruese, Leaf Green & Green Shoot
Teddy - Caramel, Cappuchino & Champagne
Jeans - Capri Blue, Denim Blue & Frozen Lake

It is at times like this that I am so glad of having a template to use!

I will hopefully be back Saturday so see you all soon.
