My Time To Craft 'Inspired By A Song Or Film' Challenge

Good morning all. I hope you all have some amazing crafty plans for the weekend, if not why not.

This week at My Time To Craft we are challenged to make something whereby we are 'Inspired By A Song Or Film' and boy is this a challenge for me. I am not into music at all so I can't look at my images and see a relation to a song. So how did I get around this, I pulled out a few images that I thought would work for the card I was making and got my hubby who is really into music to come up with the song!

So for my card I am using Kenny K's Frieda Flapper, can you guess the song?

Moving Along With The Times 'Sketch' Challenge

Good morning everyone, thanks for stopping by. This is going to be a short post from me as I am struggling at the moment with pain and the increased medication is making me very sleepy and generally urgh.

This week at Moving Along With The Times Shell gave us a lovely easy sketch to work with. As soon as I saw the image's that Meljen Designs our sponsor this week had given us to work with I immediately knew what I would make.

I chose Romance Diva as I am certainly not a skinny woman and have plenty of let's say curves lol so it is the perfect image for me to make my hubby an anniversary card.

Can you spot the mistake on my card??
Well did you notice the paper across the middle is upside down, now to decide whether to correct it or leave it and see if hubby notices!!

My Time To Craft 'Men Only' Challenge

Oops I am sorry, I have had to up my tablets as my back and legs are not getting any better and have somehow lost the days of the week lol. This post should of been up this morning but it is here now.

Now this week at My Time To Craft the challenge is 'Men Only' but I read this wrong and thought it was for a male and made a card for a boy! I blame the tablets he he.

I made a very clean and simple card using this lovely little Dilbert Dragon from The Crafty Pad. Some time ago I saw a great tutorial on colour animals using dots but when I needed it I couldn't find it, I had a go from what I could remember and I like the result but it would of been better had I followed the tutorial!

Sparkles 'Lace It Up' Challenge

Good morning everyone. I hope all is well with everyone.

I have had the great pleasure of being asked if I would like to join the ladies at Sparkles Monthly Challenge and I had to think for all of two seconds before answering so thank you ladies for having me aboard your team. I can't wait to get to know you all.

So this month the challenge is 'Lace It Up' and our sponsor Floppy Latte Designs are offering a prize of $6 worth of digital images and also gave the design team some to play with. As I joined the team late I used an image I already had from Floppy Latte Designs called Lily Circle.

Floppy Lattes Digital Designs ::All Digital All The Time

I cut my image out three times and layered different parts of it up although you can't see it very well in the photo. I coloured it very softly and let the papers pick the colours out. I haven't added a sentiment as yet, it will probably be a mother's day card for one of my step grandchildren to give their mum but I like them to choose which card they want first.

I used these lovely new papers from Papermania called Spots & Stripes - Pastels and some pretty new lace I got from my local craft shop Let's Create and teamed it with these green gems which have been in my stash forever!

Sorry this photo is rubbish but it is so dark here, I have tried all ways to take it but it just can't pick up the colours.
Supplies:-
6" Card Blank - Boyes
Card Stock - Bazzill
Medium - Letraset
Dies - Spellbinders Classic & Scalloped Circles
Lace - Let's Create
Gems - Stash

My Time To Craft 'Decoupage' Challenge

Good morning all, I have had to schedule this post today (so hope mr blogger is playing ball) as I went to see Strictly Come Dancing last night and as yet have not arrived home. I stayed with my parents because we were due to arrive back at around midnight and I didn't fancy driving down the dark country lanes at the time on my own.

Anyhow onto today's dt card and it is for this week's challenge at My Time To Craft where we have been challenged to create using 'Decoupage' you can either use the traditional decoupage as I did or you can use a stamped image layered up.

I haven't made decoupage in years and didn't like the thought of having to cut all those pieces out so I sent the image to my cameo and got that to do the work for me lol. As you can see it went off a little in place but that was because the image is so light it had a job to pick up the lines. (I think a little more playing is needed). I didn't add much else as the image is quite large.

Supplies:-
6" Scalloped Card Blank - Boyes
Card Stock - Bazzill
Decoupage - Humpfrey's Corner C.D
Foam Pads - Stix 2 Stash
Lace - Stash

Here is a close view of the image so you can see the decoupage a little better.

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-

Craft Us Crazy - Getting Cutting

Thanks for stopping by, I think I have caught up with most of you since I got home from holiday but if I haven't I will over the weekend. Please pop by the challenge blog to see what the other girls made.

Moving Along With The Times 'Only Girls Allowed' Challenge

Good morning everyone. What is going on with this weather, one minute we have sunshine the next snow!

I had a lovely week in Malta last week, the weather felt quite chilly at times due to the high winds they were suffering but once I stepped off the plane back here I realised just how warm it really had been lol. I am suffering from painful legs and back due to the little amount of walking I did but mainly due to the bad roads they have. I also have an infected mouth from the wind, it started as a cold sore but has gone on. Both are worth the pain as it really is a beautiful country to travel around.

I am off to see Strictly Come Dancing at Nottingham on Friday evening so resting plenty so that I am ready to go because I can't wait. I have wanted to see it since it started and finally this year my mum and decided to have a girls day out and go.

Anyhow onto the matter in hand, this week at Moving Along With The Times Pami set us the challenge of 'Only Girls Allowed' so anything girlie is acceptable. We have the honour of having Kenny K as our sponsor and they provided us with some great images to play with. I have used Jasmine on my card and really enjoyed colouring her. I made what I think is called a sideways z fold card but not totally sure, I saw the style on someone's blog awhile ago but they didn't say what it was called.
