Just Because It's New

Good afternoon all I hope the weather is being kind to you on this bank holiday weekend, here on the East coast of Suffolk it is very windy and quite dull BUT it is dry at the moment!!!

When my mum rang me a few days ago from a car boot asking if I wanted her to buy me these cute stamps she had seen along with lots of lace I was really excited to see what she had got. Well imagine my surprise when two of the stamps were Belles & Whistles, four were Whiff of Joy and another was a Penny Black and then thirteen other cuties which I am not sure whose they are yet (they could be CC Designs or Greeting Farm). How much you may ask? Would you believe £2.00 the lot and nearly 300 metres of different lace's for you got it £2.00. I think I could cover everything in my house with the amount of lace she brought but the lady who was selling it all said she just didn't want to take it home!!! What a bargain, the lace will go to our next crop for a share out otherwise I would have to attach it to every card for the next 15 years lol.

Anyhow enough of my chatter I couldn't wait to ink up Beary Hugs it has been on my wishlist for a while now, I had no reason to make this card except I just needed too, you know the feeling!!

Image - Belles & Whistles 'Beary Hugs'

A Challenge Or Many

Good Afternoon.

I decided I wanted to make something just for fun and a challenge or two if possible!! I had seen the challenge at Belles & Whistles which was 'Shaping Up For May Flowers' (make a shaped card not square & add flowers) which I really liked the idea of and so that was my starting block for making this.

I used my Cricut Design Studio to weld together the frame and the banner to make the back shadow piece, then cut another frame and banner plus another shadow banner to add to the front. I also added a flap on the back with the section to write a message on.

I also made all the flowers myself using one of Penny Duncan's Rose files and following her video on how to make them. I am really pleased with the result for a first time try. I started out with plain white thickish paper which I inked in two shades of purple and the leaves with a green.

I used this image in particular as it is my mum's favourite of my many stamps and as it is her birthday in a couple of weeks thought I would give it to her if it turned out any good lol. You can just see in the top photo I have written the word 'Sister's' across the banner but I will stamp this once I have found my only set of small lettered stamps!!

Supplies:-
Cardstock - Paper Mill Shop
Image - Belles & Whistles 'Sisters'
Medium - Promarkers & Copics
Gems - Anita's
Ribbon - Seam Binding (Candy prize from Manday aka Crafty Fox)
Die Cutting - Cricut & Heritage Cartridge
Flowers - SCAL 2 & Penny Duncan's Rose File.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:-

Getting Cricky's Simply Sunday Challenge

Good afternoon I hope the weather is lovely where you are, it has been a really beautiful day here, the sea is so very calm and has just a lovely cool breeze coming off of it.
I have this card which was a special request and my normal type of creation but hey ho the person who ordered it loved it so that's all that mattered.

They wanted an old fashioned style camper van which I didn't have but when I showed them this image they said it would be perfect if they could have the caption 'Are We There Yet' on it as well as this is what used to drive their dad mad when they were young.

I welded to of the caravan's together so that it could lift up to show the caption beneath. The windows of the car also have acetate in them so that a photo can be slipped in behind them.

Supplies:-
Cardstock - Bazzill
Cricut - Pack Your Bags Cartridge for the 'Car & Caravan'
Cricut - Heritage  for the wording 'Dad'
Embossing - Cuttlebug 'Tiny Bubbles'
Buttons for the wheels - Stash
Gems - Unknown Stash
Sentiment - Crafty Sentiments 'Patch & Stitch'

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Simply Sunday With K Andrew - Retro Dad
Cricut Cardz Challenge - For A Male & With Wheels

Thank you for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your weekend.
