My Time To Craft 'Halloween' Challenge

Good afternoon all, sorry this post should of been up this morning but Mr Blogger was playing nicely and as I was out with My Time To Craft boss Shell I don't think I will be in too much trouble lol.

EDITED:- We met up in Lincoln so we could go and see the cathedral which really is spectacular but we must have chose the coldest day of the year to go. So after a quick bite to eat at the sausage fest which was also on in Lincoln Castle it was back to my house for tea to warm us all up. It was great to catch up with Shell again and finally meet her hubby Nige but I said to Shell beforehand it could be a mistake getting our hubbies together and yes I was right, those men are a pair alike knew just how to wind us girls up!! But hey they made us laugh and it was a lovely day plus they paid so not all bad.

This week at My Time To Craft we were challenged to make something for 'Halloween' and I decided to make one of three treat holders for my step grandchildren. This will be for Sophie who will be 6 next week, she loves all things Halloween and I thought she could keep her bits and pieces in this pumpkin basket after she has eaten the treats. I cut this out on my Cameo using a 12" mat and cut it as big as would fit on the sheet. You can also use this with a tea light candle inside.

Supplies:-
Card stock - American Crafts
Brads - Papermania
Pumpkin File - Silhouette Studio '3d Jack-O-Lantern'

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
Craftymess - Halloween
4 Crafty Chicks - Halloween
DL.Art - Pumpkin

Moving Along With The Times 'Alice Inspired' Challenge

Good morning all, I hope the weather is being kind to you where ever you are.

Today see's the start of a new challenge over at Moving Along With The Times and this week Hazel set us the challenge of 'Alice Inspired' so that means anything to do with Alice In Wonderland, easy eh? Well I am sure it will be for some of you but I really struggled with it.  This week we are sponsored by Digi My World who gave us some great images to play with.

I decided I wanted to go with the image of the White Rabbit and use it as a belated birthday card but I couldn't get it to come together. I know I have some paper somewhere with clocks on but can I find it, oh course I can't. So I had the idea to make my own, I used the pocket watch image and put several of them on the page and made a collage of them in all different directions. I then printed this onto a piece of backing paper that went with my other papers I am using. Once I had this the rest of the card all went together really quickly, in fact too quickly as I was going to ink the edges but stuck too bits of paper down before I remembered!!

Supplies:-
6" Card Blank - Boyes
Card Stock - Ebay
Designer Papers - Papermania 'Happy Days'
Medium - Letraset
Twine - My Craft Spot

My Time To Craft 'Recipe' Challenge

Good morning all. Can you believe this weather it has been lovely here in Lincolnshire, I managed to get 2 loads of washing done, dried and ironed I haven't managed to do this in a while and I probably could of got more done but didn't want to tempt fate lol.

This week at My Time To Craft we have been set a recipe challenge and the recipe is '1 ribbon, 2 images and 3 papers'. I used a Personal Impression stamp set which I have had for years and I think this is the first time I have used the ornaments from it. I stamped the ornament stamp onto two different patterned papers and paper pieced them, cut them out and used baker's twine to string them so they look like they are hanging from my ribbon (well that was the idea but sure they look too real), I also added little gems to the ornaments but you cannot really see them in the photo.

Supplies:-
6" Card Blank - Boyes
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - Dovercraft 'Merry Magic'
Stamps - Personal Impressions 'Christmas Set 1'
Gems - Papermania
Ribbon - Barnardo's Charity Shop
Twine - My Craft Spot

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-

Jingle Belles - Pink Christmas
Winter Wonderland - Photo Inspiration

Thanks for stopping by, I will be around to see you all shortly.

My Time To Craft 'Colouring On Kraft' Challenge

Good morning all, this is my second post of the day please scroll down for my Crafty Calendar Challenges post.

It has been a very quiet week here for me, not a lot going on at all yet next week there are so many things to do I can't keep up why does that happen!

This week at My Time To Craft we were set the challenge of 'Colouring On Kraft', I have only ever done this once before and apart from the fact that I loved the effect I had so many comments saying the same I decided to make another couple of the same but in a different size. These will go into my box for the charity sale in November.

When I did this before I used some Bazill Kraft card stock but I had run out of this and couldn't get anymore so brought this card stock from ebay, it is lovely card and really quite smooth although not totally but could I get my promarkers to work with it oh no they just pulled up the fibres. I eventually gave in and tried my aqua markers which worked a treat but I don't have that many colours in those.

Not sure why this photo is so dark sorry.

Crafty Calendar Challenge 'All Things Spooky' Challenge

Good morning all this is my first post of the day and I will be back with my My Time To Craft 'Colouring On Kraft' challenge card shortly.

Well where did the month go as it is now time for another Crafty Calendar Challenges Challenge and this month we are challenged to 'All Things Spooky' with the option of 'Recycle Something'. The only thing I managed to recycle is the ribbon which was around a pressie and that is only because I forgot the option until the rest was made!

I have made this as the second part of my Halloween treats for my step grandchildren and here is one of the tags. See my Moving Along With The Times post here for the details of it. This is going to be for Samuel who is 4 because 'eek' seems to be his favourite word just lately for anything ugly shall we say lol. I used a freebie cutting file from My Scrap Chick to make this and cut it all out on my Cameo.

Moving Along With The Times 'In The Dark' Challenge

Good morning all, how are you all today? well I hope and if not please get better soon.

We took ourselves off on Sunday to visit our little grandson and wow how he has grown in just a couple of weeks, he is really getting his own little character now. He had his 6 week check last week and his hearing is now within normal range and they believe the initial problem was due to the amount of time he was stuck underwater during his birth and got all his airways and such blocked. His little face as you can see is now all nice and pink no bruising or signs of distress.

Here is just one of the photo's I took!

Whilst we were there one of my son's step children was not happy because her mum and my son wont allow her to go trick or treating and this is what gave me the idea for my card today. I have made three of these, one for each of the children all slightly different to send to them in a parcel with a gift box and tag so they can have their own Halloween trick or treat night at home. I will show you the other items soon.

So this week at Moving Along With The Times Lisa set us the challenge of 'In The Dark' so that means either dark colours or things that come out in the dark!

I made coffin cards that open to reveal a great Bugaboo image, talking of Bugaboo they are our sponsor this week and gave us all the really great images to use plus a voucher for one of you to win.
I cut the coffin, the lettering and the layers on my cameo.
I also printed my image and then cut that out on the cameo too, I love this feature as I hate hand cutting images.
The sticker on the left says 'Trick or Treat'.

Well that's all from me today. Our new fish tank arrived yesterday so David has been busy filling it with salt water and making sure all the electrics and such work so now it is time to go get some clean up crew i.e crabs and shrimps to cycle to the water before we put any fish or corals in it.
