My Time To Craft 'Kraft' Challenge

Good morning all.

I am here today to share my card I made for the new challenge over at My Time To Craft. This week we would like to see you use 'Kraft' on your project either by colouring on it or simply mat and layering.

I decided to recreate a card I have made a couple of times now and it has been a popular choice by recipients.  I have used a Lili Of The Valley stamp called Christmas Baubles, stamped and then coloured on kraft card stock. A few gems added for the berries and card finished.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-
Greens - Pine & Holly
Reds - Firebrick, Berry Red & Heat Wave

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-

My Time To Craft 'Paper Piecing' Challenge

Good morning all, it is really sunny here today so looking forward to an afternoon resting in the garden before my trip to Doncaster's Summer Crafting tomorrow.

This fortnight at My Time To Craft we are doing 'Paper Piecing', this is where you use designer papers to colour to all or part of your image instead of your markers or pencils etc. I have used this stamp originally from Sugar Nellie but now available digitally and named 'Sweet n Sassy Hello Sunshine' by Elisabeth Bell. I stamped her out on my white card stock and then stamp just the area's I wanted onto the different scraps of designer paper, this method is great for using up scraps.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Sentiment - Crafty Sentiments

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-
Skin - Apricot, Oatmeal & Blush
Hair - Cocoa, Cinnamon & Tan
Hat Leaves & Flowers - Pressed Leaf, Apple Cider, Sleigh Bell & Earth Yellow

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
Elphine House - Rain or Shine

That's all from me, see you again soon.

Silhouette 'Print And Cut' Challenge

It's the time for another challenge over at

Ch# 15 Print N Cut
Begins: Tuesday, July 1
Ends: Thursday, July 31

A blog dedicated to the Silhouette Cutting Machines.
You MUST use a Silhouette somehow in your project.

Sponsor this month is:

Silhouette Printable Cotton Canvas

Print and cut is one of the many features I love about the silhouette, it doesn't mean you can only cut what is in the silhouette store it can be used in several ways and here are a few example's of what it can do:-
* cut out digital stamps
* cut out images scanned into your computer so maybe wooden stamps
* take an image and fill it with patterns or colours then decide on how you want it cut out
* make stickers
* print onto heat transfer material for t-shirts
* make calendars, chore charts etc etc.
You see those are just a few of the many, many ways it can be used.

So for my project I decided to make a couple of Christmas cards along with matching gift bags for people who love their pets or they could even be given to the pets lol. You see these were so quick and easy to make I decided to make two at a time.

Here are the cards I made one with a cat and one with a dog. I took images from the silhouette store and then offset the edge by 0.50 to cut a mat layer for each item.

I placed the same image tag on the bags.

With the corresponding image on the back.

This is the reverse of the tag all done using the print and cut method.
It took me about 20 minutes to make both of these sets.

6" Scalloped Card Blanks - Natalie & Amy.
Card Stock - Bazzill

Crafty Calendar 'Summertime Fun' Challenge

Good afternoon all.

This month at Crafty Calendar Challenge we are challenging you to 'Summertime Fun', so anything you like to do during the summer months. We are sponsored this month by Squiggle Fly who have not only offered a wonderful prize for one of you but also gave the design team members lots of images to play with. I was in need of some male cards and decided to use three images on this card from the Summertime set found HERE. I went for a clean and simple look with this one and I added glossy accents to the glasses instead of colouring a water level although not sure why they looks grey.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amys
Card Stock - Bazzill

I will be back tomorrow with my Silhouette Challenge creation, see you soon.

If you have never used the Silhouette for glass etching here is a how to video.

Good morning people and thank you for joining us in this special challenge. I have played with glass etching before and so decided to try something different with it this time. Firstly I will show you my glass that I did with 4 different files from the Silhouette Store. I placed the red card inside the glass to help the design show up.

The longest part of making this was the time I had to leave the cream on between each design, I tried to do it it in one go first but of course the cream spread and left dripped marks around the bottom of the glass.

Now here is my second item which is a black 4" wall tile with a gloss finish, I did this exactly the same as the glass. It almost removes the gloss finish leaving the image looking like it has been cut out of the tile, it looks much more impressive in real life.

Supplies:-
Tile & Glass - My Stash
Vinyl - Freebie from a local designer
Die Cuts Used - Love Dance Title #44468 Miss Kate Cuttables, Dancer #47414, Dancer #41876, Dancer #47412 all by Rivka Wilkins.
