My Time To Craft 'Bugs & Insects' Challenge

Good morning all, I hope you are all well and keeping warm during this cold spell we all seem to be having.

So today see's the start of a new challenge over at My Time To Craft and this week we are all about 'Bugs & Insects' BUT they have to be part of the main image on your creation.

I was stumped for what to make this week as I didn't have any images that had the main part as a bug or insect so in desperation I turned to my Silhouette to see what I could come up with. I love this little bumble bee I used, it looks way too cute for a bee lol. I added Black Enamel Accents from Ranger to all the black parts to give them some sheen and then added Stickles to the wings. I background was another cut from the Silhouette Store as were the hearts with the lettering drawn instead of cut.

I am giving this card to my granddaughter Sophie who is 8 as she said she has to have a card for her boyfriend because that means no one else will be able to kiss him! You have got to laugh at them, haven't you.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Die Cuts - Honeycomb Screen #56062 by Jennifer Wambach, Happy Bumble Bee #39896 by PPbN Designs & The Heart Just A Basic Shape.

Natalie & Amy's 'All About Love' Challenge

Good morning all.

Wow it is so so cold here, we had snow but it didn't settle as we had had rain through the night but I know a lot of you have it far far worse weather so stay warm and safe.

Anyhow onto the matter in hand, this month at Natalie & Amy's Challenge it is 'All About Love' so could be valentines, wedding, anniversary etc.

For my card today I used this adorable panda from Crafter's Companion called 'Party Paws - Love From Bamboo', the sentiment came from the same set. I decided on a scalloped 6" square card for this image and kept the papers to a minimum (really I was using my scraps lol). I coloured my image with a bit of a scruffy style to give him a ragged look and then added glossy accents to the heart and it really does shine but I cannot get it to show up on the photo's. All supplies are listed below with those in RED available in Natalie & Amy's Store HERE

6" Square Scalloped Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's

Elisabeth Bell Guest DT Card

Good morning all, today I have another card for you featuring one of the lovely Elisabeth Bell's Digital Images.

I decided to go all summery with this one and this image just reminds me of my daughter and my niece who are the same age all but 5 months between them. They were inseparable as young children and would always want an outfit the other had, to the point that my sister in law and I would buy two of something if it was for either of them lol. As a family we always holidayed together right up until our children were teenagers and would constantly get the 'are they twins' questions.

So I went Elisabeth Bell's 'Little Friends' image which can be found HERE and tied it together with nice pastel colours and a summer sentiment. Printed the image on my new laser printer and then cut out on my cameo, along with the sentiment. The papers are from the Papermania Spots & Stripes Pastel Collection.

My Time To Craft '2 Or More People' Challenge

Good morning all.

Today's challenge at My Time To Craft is to 'Use an image with two or more people in it'. There are numerous image's around blogland and the shops with more than one person yet I went completely blank when I first saw the challenge, now having made it I can think of several lol.

For my card I used this image called 'Together Forever' from Lili Of The Valley, it was another one that came in the art pad I brought. I used a single piece of First Edition Summer Breeze paper and just picked colours from that for my image. The ribbon was white to start but I coloured it to match with a promarker. A few little pearls added and the card was complete.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock & Designer Paper - First Edition 'Summer Breeze'
Pearls - Dovercraft (I think)

My Time To Craft 'Love Is All Around' Challenge

Good morning all, I am seriously hoping Mr blogger is playing ball today as I am on holiday and hopefully relaxing not having to chase Mr Blogger.

My husband and I have been married for over 20 years and been together for 24 but this is our first EVER holiday alone!! We are a Brady bunch family with both of us having children before we met, I had a daughter and he had two son's which we brought up and then we had another son between us so we have always had children in tow. They finally all left home lol but even then we were stuck for someone to look after the two dogs as we won't put them in kennel's. However our youngest son is having some relationship problems and has come to stay at mum and dad's hotel so we thought we would take the plunge and make the most of our dog sitter lol. Wish me luck, it could be along week!!!

Anyhow, that is not what you came here for so onto the matter in hand. This week at My Time To Craft we are 'All About The Love' wedding, anniversary, valentines whichever kind of love you like.

I created this card which I initially thought of as a wedding card but I noticed (after I stuck it down) that the paper at the bottom says 'I love you' so will probably add an anniversary sentiment to it instead. It is still all about the love so it all good. Just for a change I used all die cuts on this card and nothing Silhouette related, now that is a shock for you! The image came from one of those art books I brought probably 2 years ago and always forget about. It is a Lili Of The Valley image called 'I Do'.

Supplies:-
6" Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - First Edition 'J'Adore'

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-
Skin - E21, E51, E50 & E00
Hair Female - Raw Sienna, Mustard & Buttercup
Hair Male - Walnut, Cocoa & Nutmeg
Clothes Female - Champagne & Linen
Clothes Male - Ice Grey 1, 2, 3 & 4
Hearts & Flowers - Firebrick & Burnt Umber

So that is all from me and I will catch up with you next week.

My Time To Craft 'Stripes' Challenge

Hello all.

It's Saturday so that means it is time for another challenge at My Time To Craft and this week we are looking for 'Stripes' on your projects.

I did something very different (for me anyway) with this card.  I started by printing my sentiment and then cutting the piece of white (it really is white and I am not sure why it looks blue) card to 14.5 cm's square, next I took some micropore tape (that is the stuff you use to hold a bandage or gauze in place) and taped it to my craft mat. Using my blending tool and some Victorian Velvet Distress Ink I set about creating my stripes. Using the grid lines on my mat I placed micropore across my card on every centimetre line and used this as the bottom guide and then placed another piece about 0.5 cm's above thus giving me a section to ink. I continued across the card moving my micropore every centimetre until I got this effect, you can see some of the edges are a little jagged that is where I didn't change the tape soon enough and it began to bleed. This was a fun card to make, I added the frame cut on my Silhouette just to finish it off.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Limetree Crafts

That's all for today.

Elisabeth Bell Guest DT Card

Good morning people how are we all today? I know many of you are just finishing your first week back at work so I am sure you will be looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

I am here today with another card I created as part of my time as guest designer for Elisabeth Bell's Digi Bell's team.

I have used the adorable 'Little Miss Mouse' which can be found in Elisabeth's Digital Collection HERE. It is such a cute image I just had to colour it all summery. I actually added glossy accents to the toadstool spots and liquid pearls to the flower centres but they are not showing up to well. I kept the rest pretty simple as the image is quite large and I didn't think it needed much else to show it off.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - First Edition 'Blank Canvas'

All items in Red are available from Natalie & Amy's Store

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-
Skin - E21, E51, E00, Eooo & R20
Hair - Chestnut, Auburn, Terracotta & Raw Sienna
Dress, Wings & Mouse Apron - Oasis, Cool Aqua & Soft Aqua
Flowers - Orange, Burnt Orange & Soft Peach
Leaves & Grass - Olive Green & Apple Cider
Toadstool - Berry Red, Red, Lipstick Red, Caramel, Cappuccino, Sandstone & Champagne
Mouse - Ice Grey 1, 2 & 3

Thanks for stopping by.

Crafty Calendar Challenges & My Time To Craft 'All Things New' Challenge

Good morning all, I hope today finds you all fit and well.

I have a short post for you today to share my card I made for the Crafty Calendar Challenge and the My Time To Craft Challenge where we are looking to see your 'All Things New' projects. As both challenges are looking for the same elements I decided to go with the one card as I am trying to get ahead due to us going off on holiday in a couple of weeks.

I used two different file to create my card today, the first was for the base shape and the white panel and then another file for the laundry line and clothes. The sentiment is a really old one I brought at a car boot sale years ago.

Card Stock - Limetree Crafts

Silhouette Challenges #21 "Anything Goes"

Good morning everyone and a Happy New Year to you all.

It's the time for another challenge here at

Challenge Info.

Ch# 22 "Anything Goes"
Starts: Thursday, January 1
Ends: Saturday, January 31

A blog dedicated to the Silhouette Cutting Machines.
You MUST use a Silhouette somehow in your project.

I thought I would share one of the cards I made for my granddaughter's first birthday back in November. This is a movable card and the tortoise is on an action wobble. I had to add the little star type shape by the tail as it was top heavy and kept flopping down, this way it stood up straight whilst on the shelf but could be unhooked to move.

Mia loved it and that was all that mattered, the reason for the tortoise was because she has one in these same colours that she used to carry around all the time however he seems to have lost his place in her heart just lately since she found Mickey Mouse. She spends ages chattering away to him in her own dialect adding the occasional 'oh dear dear' which are her favourite words at the moment.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Movement - Action Wobble

This was Mia yesterday wishing her granddad a Happy Birthday, isn't that sweet it even made granddad shed a tear.
