Crafty Calendar Challenges July Challenge

Good morning all. It is the first Saturday of the month so that means it is time for another Crafty Calendar Challenges Challenge. This month we are challenging you to the theme 'Under The Sea'

I have been so busy with my Christmas projects for  yesterday's Crafty Sentiments New Release that I completely forgot about this challenge and was just thinking my project would be late when I remembered this card I made for one of my husband's students who is seriously unwell. You see that little Scuba Diver there on my card well, that is my husband lol and that is how he spends his days, not bad eh, he calls it work!!

I brought these stamps a couple of years ago from someone in America whose name escapes me at the moment, they are lovely stamps and beautifully clear images but they are a bit of a specialist interest and I only ever use them to make cards for my hubby's students and colleagues.

As this was for a man I decided to leave the images uncoloured and have not added any embellished, I just double matted my cardstock layers but it doesn't show up too well.

Supplies:-
A5 Card Blank - Craft Superstore
Cardstock - Bazzill
Stamps - Unknown
Ink - All Colours 'Memento'
Sentiment - Inkadinkado 'LM807712 '

Not many supplies for this card.

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-

Hanna & Friends - For A Man
Crafty Ann's- Get Well/ Thinking of You

Crafty Sentiments New Release Blog Hop, Come Join Us.

WARNING this post is picture heavy!!

Good morning all.
Have you all enjoyed the last five days of Crafty Sentiments previews? Well the wait is over the stamps are finally available today and you can get them HERE.

Today we are finishing with a blog hop so if you are a regular visitor or just stumbled across my blog you will want to go back to the main Crafty Sentiments Blog to start the hop so you don't miss any of the wonderful creations along the way.

For my project I decided to make a Lumière using a battery powered tea light. I printed four of my images onto tracing paper, I was going to colour them but decided against it plus I thought the colour would be lost when the light was on.
Be warned I took lots of photo's to show the lit and unlit effects of each side, I had to take the lit photo's in a wardrobe to get the light to show up. When you want a dark overcast day I get bright sunshine, never satisfied lol.

Christmas Song

Dressing The Tree

Taking A Nap

Winter Wishes

So as not to leave poor Billy and his sledge out I made a gift tag to go with my gift. I again printed the image on tracing paper which looks lovely in real life but the photo seems to catch more of the backing paper than the actual image. The back of the tag has 'to' and 'from' on it with a sentiment saying 'Sending Love On Christmas Day'
Gone Sledging

Designer Papers - My Mind's Eye 'I Believe'
'Christmas Fun' Sentiment - Crafty Sentiments 'A Christmas Wish'

Crafty Sentiments 'Christmas In June' Challenge & New Release Previews Day Five

Good morning all. It's day five and the last day of Crafty Sentiments Christmas In July Previews but don't fret we have a blog hop for you tomorrow.
Plus as today is challenge day we are challenging you to 'Christmas In June', make any project with a Christmas theme.

Today we are showcasing 'Taking A Nap', this is another of the adorable image's you could win (see day one's post for details).

As soon as I saw this image I thought of a window scene. To create it I used a 6" square panel for the back of the card and added clear acetate to create the front. I then stuck the stripy paper (my wallpaper) to the back panel and placed the image onto this. I cut a window frame, two Christmas tree's and the branch all from Bazzill cardstock (my outside) and added those to the front of the acetate but unfortunately this isn't obvious from my photo because I couldn't get a picture to show up the acetate without it having the flash light right across it. I will try another photo in the morning to see if I can get a better view.

Supplies:-
All Cardstock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - Papermania 'A Wonderful Christmas Time'
Image - Crafty Sentiments 'Taking A Nap' Avail July 1st
Medium - Promarkers
Acetate - Local Craft Shop
Snow - Flower Soft 'Diamond White'
Cricut - Winter Woodland - tree's 3", branch 2"

Ok so now it is over to you lets see your Christmas projects, it is never too early to start!!

Here are the other blogs showcasing for you today so don't for those comments:-

Crafty Sentiments New Release Previews, Day Four

Good morning people we must stop meeting like this lol It's day four of the Crafty Sentiments Christmas In July Previews and today we are showcasing 'Dressing The Tree', this is another of the adorable image's you could win (see day one's post for details).

Have you ever started one of those projects that you wish you hadn't? Well this was mine, it seemed like a good idea to begin with but oh no how time consuming was it.
I decided it would be a good idea to glitter the baubles on the tree to match the bauble ribbon but not having all the colours in stickles I used sprinkle glitter and wet glue but didn't think about having to wait for each colour to dry before the next colour could be glittered grrrrr, I said oh how silly of me!!!! So stickles is definitely the way to go with this type of project, time to buy some more I think.

Supplies:-

6" Square Card Blank - Craft Superstore
Cardstock - Doublemates
Designer Papers - DCWV but really old and the top cover is missing
Medium - Promarkers
Ribbon - Boyes
Glitter - Stickles 'Gold, Red & Holly Green' the rest of the colours are 'Crafttime'
Charm - Gift
Card Candi - Craftwork Cards (Mine was pink but I coloured it with Stickles)

Challenges I would like to enter this card into are:-
Top Tip Tuesday - Beginning With T (Tree, Tinsel, Trousers, Turquoise)
Ladybug Crafts - Christmas In June
Crafty Catz - Add A Charm

Good morning me again! It's day three of the Crafty Sentiments Christmas In July Previews and today we are showcasing 'Gone Sledging', this is another of the adorable image's you could win (see day one's post for details).

I dug out some really old papers for this card and cut the poinsettia's on my Circut and adding gold stickles to the centres. Whilst cutting my border die I placed it upside down on my cardstock so the edge you see is actually the waste edge but I thought it looked ok so left it lol.

Medium - Promarkers
Die's - Nestabilities 'Classic & Scalloped Ovals'
