Crafty Calendar 'Anything Goes' & My Time To Craft 'Banners & Bunting' Challenge

Good morning all, yet another cold day here so glad to be staying in.

It is time for another challenge at both My Time To Craft & Crafty Calendar, My Time's challenge is 'Buntings or Banners' and Crafty Calendar's is 'Anything Goes' so I decided to tie the two together.

Crafty Calendar are being sponsored by A Random Fan who gave us a couple of cute image's to play with as well as a prize for you.

I chose to use 'Winter Kiss' on my card today. The bunting/banner was cut on my Silhouette machine as was the sentiment and the image with mat layer. After putting these items together  thought the card was a little bare so decided to add the rhinestone gems.

Good Morning!

It's time for another challenge over at Silhouette Challenges. This month is

Now onto the Challenge Info.

Ch# 21 "3D item for your Craft Room"
Begins: Sunday, Feb 1
Ends: Saturday, Feb 28

A blog dedicated to the Silhouette Cutting Machines.
You MUST use a Silhouette somehow in your project.

So onto my project or projects I should say, a lot of you will know that I have been making things for my craft room all from just one stack of paper pad so I continued the theme.

Firstly I made this handy little box to store my sketch pens in, I actually need to make another one as I have more pens than this one holds. So I used a file by Jamie Cripps #46244 3d Sketch Pen Holder in the Silhouette Store.

Here are a couple of views to show just how little room it takes up. Excuse the wonky letters I did fix them after seeing the photo.

Next I made this 3d Ribbon Holder Cards & Box #45600 by Jamie Cripps also from the Silhouette Store. My intention with this was to make one box for each colour family in the hope that I could just take out a box and perhaps get through my never ending supply of ribbon BUT as you will see in the next photo I quite simply have too much ribbon.
This is just one of my drawers of ribbon I still have those odd rolls in this drawer to change to the card system plus another whole drawer to sort through.

What I did do using my Promarkers & Flexmarkers was to colour the top of the cards with the pen that matched the ribbon, as this is what takes me the longest to decide and then I get fed up and put them away again lol.

Whilst sorting my ribbons I also decided to make these Bakers Twine Bobbins #60905 by Sweet Afton. I cut them in a heavy 300gsm white card stock first and then in a colour similar to them and then stuck these together, this gave them strength. I did this so that I could easily see which I wanted to use but could write on the back the colour name and manufacturer. At the moment I have them on this piece of cord while I am awaiting my lovely hubby to retrieve me a large book ring from the garage which is currently iced up with a heap of snow in front of it.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill & Limetree Crafts
Designer Paper - Colour Box from years ago.
Die Cuts - As shown with each photo.

My Time To Craft 'Bugs & Insects' Challenge

Good morning all, I hope you are all well and keeping warm during this cold spell we all seem to be having.

So today see's the start of a new challenge over at My Time To Craft and this week we are all about 'Bugs & Insects' BUT they have to be part of the main image on your creation.

I was stumped for what to make this week as I didn't have any images that had the main part as a bug or insect so in desperation I turned to my Silhouette to see what I could come up with. I love this little bumble bee I used, it looks way too cute for a bee lol. I added Black Enamel Accents from Ranger to all the black parts to give them some sheen and then added Stickles to the wings. I background was another cut from the Silhouette Store as were the hearts with the lettering drawn instead of cut.

I am giving this card to my granddaughter Sophie who is 8 as she said she has to have a card for her boyfriend because that means no one else will be able to kiss him! You have got to laugh at them, haven't you.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Die Cuts - Honeycomb Screen #56062 by Jennifer Wambach, Happy Bumble Bee #39896 by PPbN Designs & The Heart Just A Basic Shape.

Natalie & Amy's 'All About Love' Challenge

Good morning all.

Wow it is so so cold here, we had snow but it didn't settle as we had had rain through the night but I know a lot of you have it far far worse weather so stay warm and safe.

Anyhow onto the matter in hand, this month at Natalie & Amy's Challenge it is 'All About Love' so could be valentines, wedding, anniversary etc.

For my card today I used this adorable panda from Crafter's Companion called 'Party Paws - Love From Bamboo', the sentiment came from the same set. I decided on a scalloped 6" square card for this image and kept the papers to a minimum (really I was using my scraps lol). I coloured my image with a bit of a scruffy style to give him a ragged look and then added glossy accents to the heart and it really does shine but I cannot get it to show up on the photo's. All supplies are listed below with those in RED available in Natalie & Amy's Store HERE.

Elisabeth Bell Guest DT Card

Good morning all, today I have another card for you featuring one of the lovely Elisabeth Bell's Digital Images.

I decided to go all summery with this one and this image just reminds me of my daughter and my niece who are the same age all but 5 months between them. They were inseparable as young children and would always want an outfit the other had, to the point that my sister in law and I would buy two of something if it was for either of them lol. As a family we always holidayed together right up until our children were teenagers and would constantly get the 'are they twins' questions.

So I went Elisabeth Bell's 'Little Friends' image which can be found HERE and tied it together with nice pastel colours and a summer sentiment. Printed the image on my new laser printer and then cut out on my cameo, along with the sentiment. The papers are from the Papermania Spots & Stripes Pastel Collection.

 Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy
Designer Papers  - Papermania Spots & Stripes Pastel Collection
