Moving Along With The Times 'Celebration in Pink, Pearl & Pretty' Challenge

Good morning all.
As the weather is being so mean to us all I thought I would start by giving you all a laugh and change my profile picture. This is my hubby and I whilst aboard our cruise ship in June and just look at my face. I just cannot smile in photo's I always manage to pull some sort of awful face, although David doesn't look much better does he he looks like he is gritting his teeth.

Anyway back to the task in hand, this week at Moving Along With The Times it is Mau's turn to set us the challenge and she went with 'Celebration in Pink, Pearls and Pretty'. I thoroughly enjoyed colouring this Whiff of Joy image and now can't understand why I have never used it before. The flourish die cut is made from a Cheery Lynn die I brought whilst at the Doncaster show with Shell last weekend, I had wanted it for ages but everywhere I looked it was either out of stock or a ridiculous amount of postage just to send that.

I was lucky enough to be a winner at Mema's Craft last week and got 2 great Kenny K images which I can't wait to use.

Finally before I go I just wanted to show you my unit that my darling hubby made for me to store all my pens and pencils in (got to butter him up as I know he will read this and I want a paper holder one made next lol) . After buying the last of the Promarkers I needed to complete my set at Doncaster, I needed somewhere to store them all so this is what David made for me. I have not organised it or put all my pens in it yet this is David's arrangement and how I found it after returning from having my hair cut. See Shell all that noise yesterday during our phone call was worth it!

Please pop over to the challenge blog and have a look at all the other pretty pink and pearl creations you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for stopping by, I have my inlaws here for the next couple of days so will catch up with your blogs at the weekend.

Moving Along With The Times 'Make It Sentimental' Challenge

Good morning all. I am finally back and what a treat it was to be able to sit and craft after what feels like an absolute age.

We are all moved into our new home now, which is fantastic for me especially as it is all on one level and I have a garden that I can actual access! That has got to be one of the things I missed most as I love being in the garden.
We have also had a fantastic holiday cruising around Italy, Spain and France, the weather was 40 degree's everyday and the sea so calm you didn't know you was on the water.

Anyhow back to the matter in hand and this week at Moving Along With The Times the lovely Deb's set us the challenge to 'Make It Sentimental' so in other words make your sentiment the focal point of your card (no images allowed). We are sponsored by Di's Digital Downloads so a great prize to be had and well worth entering for.
Oh and just so you are aware over the summer we will be having fortnightly challenges so you will have plenty of time to enter and we get some time off (like I need it), well that is what the boss ordered so who am I to argue lol.
For my card I decided to do something different for me and use white with just a hint of colour and lots of layers. I have used 5 different Spellbinder nestability dies along with this gorgeous Cheery Lynn Waltzing Matilda die which I was lucky enough to win over at Bearly Mine Challenges. I made the background by inking a mask and then running it through my cuttlebug to print it onto my card stock.

Supplies:-
6" Card Blank - Boyes
Mask - Creative Expressions
Ink - Distress Ink 'Spun Sugar'
Gems - Anita's Gem Wheel in 2 Sizes
Ribbon - Stash
Dies - Nestabilities 'Classic & Scalloped Square', 'Classic & Scalloped Circle', 'Labels 1' & Cheery Lynn 'Waltzing Matilda'
Sentiment - Computer Generated.

Challenges I would like to enter this card into:-
Cards Galore - White on White
Creatalicious - Anything Goes
Bearly Mine - Ribbons & Bows
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Crafty Blogger Network - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Show & Tell - Spritz, Spray or Stencil
Whoopsi Daisy - White on White
