My Time To Craft 'Make It DL Size' Challenge

Oh dear I have completely lost tracked of the days just lately. I was really unwell on Friday and that has thrown me a day and then I just noticed my card hadn't published for this week's My Time To Craft challenge only to realise that it was not only Sunday but I hadn't even written! Yet my card has been made for nearly two weeks, what do I do with myself, don't ask David as I am sure I know what he would say lol

Ok so this fortnight at My Time To Craft we are asking to see your DL sized cards, I had never made a card this size before until now.  I was at a car boot sale a few weeks ago and picked up this large and I mean large box of Kanban goodies that was all Christmas themed, I actually brought it thinking the kids could have some fun with it, however I ended up keeping quite a few bits and my card is the result. It was super quick to make and I really feel like I cheated.

I just tried to search for this kit and this particular card seems to have come from a 2011 Christmas Kit. One A4 reindeer sheet is selling for £1.25 and then the card blank is extra. I purchased approximately 50 different sheets, 30 card blanks and 30 sheets of patterned card all from this kit then about the same from an everyday kit and a birthday kit all for.................£3.00 and my mum was telling me off after I paid for not haggling with the women lol, wait until I tell her what a bargain I got.

Supplies:-
All from Kanban 2011 Christmas Kit

So now it is time to pop over and see what the other ladies made and join in with the challenge.

My Time To Craft 'Beary Nice' Challenge

Good morning all. What does the weather have in store for us this weekend we have had a real mixture this week, here's hoping for sunshine. I have finally got rid of the lurgy I have had for nearly three weeks only to give it to my husband and of course his is far worse than mine lol.

This week at My Time To Craft we are challenged to 'Beary Nice' which means you need to use a bear of some kind on your creation. I decided to use this lovely Crafter's Companion image called 'Teddy Bears Picnic' which I have had for a while but never used until today. I teamed it with some Bildmalarna 'Welcome' papers which I won from Dies To Die For again some time ago. My Time To Craft 'All About The Love' Challenge

Good evening all, well I am finally here. After getting a virus on my computer which completely wiped it out even though I have McAfee anti virus installed on it, it ended up having to go away to be repaired and took the man several times before he could get it to finally start up again.

Anyhow here I am with my late card and gift box for this weeks challenge at My Time To Craft where the challenge is 'All About The Love'. I made this cute square card with a matching gift box. All the cut files are listed below in the supplies section. To make these I used card stock from Lidl's, some patterned paper from an old Docrafts paper pack called 'With Love', a piece of white ribbon, a couple of black pearls and a clear gem in the flower.

The card.

 The gift box closed.

And an open view.
Supplies:-
Card Stock - Lidl's
Patterned Paper - Docrafts 'With Love'
Ribbon & Clear Gem - Stash
Black Pearls - Kanban
Die Cuts - Love Birds Card #54111 by Daniela Angelova, 3d Heart Candy Box #38513 by Lori Whitlock & 3d Pop Out Petals Flower #43874 by Alaa K Studio. The sentiment I made myself using Pacifico font welded together.

That is all for today, hopefully it won't be so long before I am back.

My Time To Craft 'Special Christmas' Challenge

Good morning all how are you all today? Boy it has turned cold this afternoon really wintery, I am wondering if this horrible snow they have been talking about is on it's way I sure hope not.

Really sorry my post is late today but I have a good excuse my daughter had her baby on Wednesday 8 days early and so we took off early on Thursday to go se them. Baby Mia Rose Alger weighed a healthy 6lbs 15 and a half ozs and both mum and her are doing really well and here is a photo off her the day she was born in her dad's arms.

Ok now that I have done the proud nanny bit onto the matter in hand where our challenge at My Time To Craft is 'Special Christmas'. I am sharing a card today that I actually made last Christmas for a customer and have never shared (well not that I can see anyway lol). I used a Kanban topper which I decoupaged up, then placed on some mirri card with a computer generated sentiment. I added this ribbon which I lurrrrve along with a charm on some twine.

Supplies:-
8" Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Mirri Card - Local Hardware Shop
Ribbon, Twine & Charm - Lets Create
Sentiment - My Computer using customer's words.

That's all from me today, I will be back next Saturday with another project for My Time To Craft, a project for Natalie & Amy's plus a project for the 'Tis The Season' blog hop I am taking part in. Talk about buses all coming along at once it looks like craft projects do to lol.

Have a lovely week all.

Sparkles Monthly 'Steampunk or Vintage' Challenge

Good afternoon all, after the last couple of days being so so hot today has been cool in comparison and is even raining now boo hoo, bring back the sunshine.

Today I have for you a card I made for the Sparkles Monthly Challenge which should have been posted on Saturday but I was a little tied up arranging a surprise party for my mum's 70th birthday.

This month we are challenged to 'Steampunk or Vintage' now when it comes to steampunk I just have no idea where to start and I was so glad when Shaz added the option of vintage to the agenda. I used another of my Kanban design sheets and backing papers and teamed it with some distress ink around all the edges, some seam binding in three different colours and a border die cut which is supposed to be stars but I think looks more like cogs! Not much else to it but I actually kind of like it plus I brought one of those Tim Holtz distressing tools and found it so much easier to use.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Boyes
Card Stock - Bazzill
Backing Papers - Kanban Crafts
Image - Kanban Crafts
Ribbon - Crafty Ribbons

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
Divas By Design - Distressing
Bunny Zoe's - Wings
Cards For Mens - Boys Will Be Boys
My Craft Creations - Transport

That's all from me for today, thanks for stopping by.

My Time To Craft 'Sketch' Challenge

God morning all, I hope this post finds you well. Boy it is cold here, we have had rain, hailstones, wind and sunshine all in one day, what on earth is going on with this weather.

This week at My Time To Craft we have a lovely sketch for you to use, pop over to the challenge blog HERE and have a look.

For my card, I have used an image and backing paper from a Kanban set. I was in need of a male card for someone special and thought this fitted perfectly. The plain card stock is gold mirri but it looks kind of yellow in the photo, I had so much trouble taking this because all I got was my reflection! I have added some Tim Holtz brads to reflect the extra elements in the sketch.

Supplies:-
6" Card Blank - Boyes
Card Stock - Create And Craft
Image & Sentiment - Kanban
Border Punch - Xcut Scalloped
Brads - Tim Holtz

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
I will enter this later today.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the bank holiday weekend.
