My Time To Craft 'Get Krafty' Challenge

Good morning all and Happy Easter, I hope you are all enjoying your long weekend.

It is time for a new challenge at My Time To Craft and Crafty Calendar Challenge and I decided to create one card to fit both. At My Time To Craft we would like to see you use 'Kraft' on your project and at Crafty Calendar Challenge we are 'Adding Sentiments'

For my card I used one of my old faithful Elisabeth Bell stamps called 'Willow Dressing Up', this is a retired image at the moment but it will hopefully be back soon now that Elisabeth has decided to produce the stamps herself. I teamed my image with papers from First Edition 'Isabelle' collection which I love for the krafty colours it has. A bit of lace, a few pearls and it was done.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy
Card Stock - Limetree Crafts
Designer Papers - First Edition 'Isabelle'
Image - Whiff Of Joy 'Willow Dressing Up'
Medium - Promarkers & Flexmakrers
Sentiment - Papermania
Pearl String - ZVA Creative
Pearls - Home Bargains
Lace - Let's Create

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-

Hair - Burnt Sienna, Caramel, Sandstone & Champagne
Dress & Bracelet - Blossom, Pink Mittens & Pale Blossom

That's it, short and sweet.
Have a lovely weekend all.

My Time To Craft 'Lace' Challenge

Good morning all, thank you for joining me. I wish this weather would decide what it wants to do, it is freezing one minute and then lovely and warm the next.

My apologies this post should have been up this morning but between feeling ill and being busy it just didn't happen because it was still sat in drafts lol. I am so not good with making in advance because I forget to post them!

Anyhow onto the matter in hand, it is time for a new challenge over at My Time To Craft and this week we want to see your 'Lace'. Nice and easy for some but quite a challenge for others, give it a go you might just surprise yourself!

For my card today I used this amazing image which I brought about a year ago and have never used, that is so bad especially as it is so so adorable. I used papers from my scrap box and just played around with them. I added two rows of lace across the card before attaching a bow made from the same lace.

 Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - All From My Scraps Box

My Time To Craft 'Oriental' Challenge

Good morning, I hope you are all well.

It is time for a new challenge over at My Time To Craft and this week we are going all 'Oriental' one of my least favourite subjects to craft to. I had nothing to fit this challenge so off I went to my local craft store which is run by Mark & Jo Channon (Jo is from Create & Craft for those of you that watch it) and at first Jo was as blank as me until we went rummaging around the store. I decided on the Tattered Lace Die called Oriental Birdcage and those coins you see in the photo.

I cut the die in white card stock and then painted it in Rich Gold Cosmic Shimmer and did the same to my card stock to get the perfect colour match. I found the script on the fan on Google and just cut, folded and inked to get to look the way it does. For my background I cut a bamboo stencil on my Silhouette Cameo and then inked it with Bundled Sage, Old Paper & Frayed Burlap Distress Inks masking off sections until it was all completed and although it took some time to do it this way I like the effect it gave. The sentiment was also found on Google and a little bit of twine to carry my coins and it was done.
All items used linked below photo.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy
All Card Stock - Limetree Crafts
Script & Sentiment - Google
Coins & Twine - Let's Create

Ok now let's see what you can make.

Silhouette 'Print And Cut' Challenge

It's the time for another challenge over at

Ch# 15 Print N Cut
Begins: Tuesday, July 1
Ends: Thursday, July 31

A blog dedicated to the Silhouette Cutting Machines.
You MUST use a Silhouette somehow in your project.

Sponsor this month is:

Silhouette Printable Cotton Canvas

Print and cut is one of the many features I love about the silhouette, it doesn't mean you can only cut what is in the silhouette store it can be used in several ways and here are a few example's of what it can do:-
* cut out digital stamps
* cut out images scanned into your computer so maybe wooden stamps
* take an image and fill it with patterns or colours then decide on how you want it cut out
* make stickers
* print onto heat transfer material for t-shirts
* make calendars, chore charts etc etc.
You see those are just a few of the many, many ways it can be used.

So for my project I decided to make a couple of Christmas cards along with matching gift bags for people who love their pets or they could even be given to the pets lol. You see these were so quick and easy to make I decided to make two at a time.

Here are the cards I made one with a cat and one with a dog. I took images from the silhouette store and then offset the edge by 0.50 to cut a mat layer for each item.

I placed the same image tag on the bags.

With the corresponding image on the back.

This is the reverse of the tag all done using the print and cut method.
It took me about 20 minutes to make both of these sets.

Supplies:-
6" Scalloped Card Blanks - Natalie & Amy.
Card Stock - Bazzill

Natalie & Amy's 'One For The Girls' Challenge

Good morning how are we all? Full of turkey, all the trimmings plus lots of sweet treats too and now waiting for the new year to wash it all down with a drink or two before starting the major diet the very next day lol.

This month at Natalie & Amy's we are challenged to 'For The Girls' so that means it can be any occasion as long as it is for a girl.

I have made a Christmas card which was for one of my granddaughter's. It is a large 8" x 8" card and I used both sides of a 12" x 12" sheet of backing paper from S.E.I called Holiday Cheer, I love this paper and wish I had brought more. My image is a Wee Stamp called 'Winter Fairy' that was a joy to colour. Coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, then I added some Woodware Fluffy Stuff to her cuffs and coat band, some Diamond Stickles to her wings, Glossy Accents to the berries and White Opal Liquid Pearls for snowdrops. The vellum is a piece of Papermania Polka Dot Glitter Vellum. Most of the items used are available in the store and I will link them in the supplies list below the photo.

Supplies:-
8" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Paper - Let's Create

Well that is all from me for this year, looking forward to meal out with some of the children on New Year's Eve as that is my hubbies birthday. It was supposed to be all the children & grandchildren but unfortunately my youngest son collapsed on the 23rd December whilst at work and has been in hospital with a chest infection, then on Christmas Day my new granddaughter ended up in hospital with RSV which means Respiratory Syncytial Virus and has been really poorly but is much better now. Hence neither of those families will be travelling.

Here is hoping that 2014 is a much happier, healthier new year for everyone. So whatever you are doing have lots of fun & laughter but stay safe.
Happy New Year to you all and see you in 2014.

Tis The Season Blog Hop Day 1

If you came here looking for my My Time To Craft post you will find it HERE.
Welcome to our
We are on Day 1!
There are only a few stops on this hop each day, and you are going to love the projects you see.
I am the fifth stop but just in case you have come here first and want to complete the hop
Here is the entire list of stops for day 1:
Okay onto my project for today where I made two things. Firstly I needed a gift box for one of the presents I have brought for one of my grandchildren and went with this Santa's Chimney Box. I made it at the size it came in the file and it is a really good size, it measures 4" square and about 3.5" tall.
Here it is closed
Here it is open without the lid.
 Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Die Cuts - 3d Chimney Box #51814 - Snapdragon Snippets
For my second project I just couldn't resist making this lantern. It can be used as a box or as a lantern as I have it. I am not sure where I will go it yet but as the colours go with my lounge and it might end up there. I added a battery lamp, some gems and liquid pearls to the outside. The acetate does have snowdrops on it but as most were covered by the snowflakes I added some with liquid pearls. I added this bow as an after thought but not sure I like it so may take it off.
This is the front which I tried to take in the dark to show the lamp glowing but my flash keeps going off even when not turned on!
This is a side view which doesn't show it at it's best lol.
Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Die Cuts - 3d Decorative Snowflake Lantern Box #51738 Jamie Cripps
Gems - Boyes
Acetate - Let's Create
Liquid Pearls - Natalie & Amy's
Now hop on over to Millie to see what fabulous craftiness is on offer for your enjoyment.
Some of them are offering candy as well.
Be sure to read their requirements to be eligible as they may all be different.
Thank you for hopping with us!!!!

My Time To Craft 'Special Christmas' Challenge

Good morning all how are you all today? Boy it has turned cold this afternoon really wintery, I am wondering if this horrible snow they have been talking about is on it's way I sure hope not.

Really sorry my post is late today but I have a good excuse my daughter had her baby on Wednesday 8 days early and so we took off early on Thursday to go se them. Baby Mia Rose Alger weighed a healthy 6lbs 15 and a half ozs and both mum and her are doing really well and here is a photo off her the day she was born in her dad's arms.

Ok now that I have done the proud nanny bit onto the matter in hand where our challenge at My Time To Craft is 'Special Christmas'. I am sharing a card today that I actually made last Christmas for a customer and have never shared (well not that I can see anyway lol). I used a Kanban topper which I decoupaged up, then placed on some mirri card with a computer generated sentiment. I added this ribbon which I lurrrrve along with a charm on some twine.

Supplies:-
8" Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Mirri Card - Local Hardware Shop
Ribbon, Twine & Charm - Lets Create

$15..00 GC.

Good morning all, have many of you been to or going to the NEC? I have heard quite a lot of people saying they were disappointed by it but not sure why exactly!

I am back today to share with you a really quick project I made for this month's Silhouette Challenge. I say quick as I had the wrong date in my head and had to make it in less than half an hour to be on time lol.

This month we are having a 'Anything Holiday' challenge and I made this hot chocolate holder, we four young girls that live in our village and they are always calling around to see if they can do anything for you and if you offer them anything for it they won't take it so I thought I would make them each one of these but with Malteser Hot Chocolate in and fancy it up with some candy canes, marshmallows etc as a thank you.

I used all Bazzill card stock and the hot chocolate holder was a file from the Silhouette Store by Megan Hardy and the tag I added is also from the store and by Echo Park. My ribbon looks wonky in the picture but it really isn't I promise. Not much more I can say about it.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Die Cuts - Hot Chocolate Holder #34320 by Megan Hardy & Tag #48497 by Echo Park.
Ribbon - Anita's I think I've had it years
Twine - Let's Create
Hot Chocolate - My Cupboard!

I finally had the second part of my occupational therapy assessment today and they have agreed that I need a wet room so maybe by the end of 2014 I might have it in place going by the speed they work lol.

Short and sweet again from me, I will try to get around to see a few more of you this week if my hands allow.

Sparkles Monthly 'Fairies & Butterflies' Challenge

Good morning all, well what can I say the post's are still few and far between due to no real improvement with my health so please bear with me whilst it sort's itself out.

Anyhow, it is time for another challenge at Sparkles Monthly and this month we are challenging you to 'Fairies & Butterflies', we want to see them both in some form. Our sponsor this month is the wonderful Lili Of The Valley who are offering a £10 gift voucher for one lucky winner.

For my card I chose these My Minds Eye papers because of the butterflies and they are in colours that I would normally avoid but I actually had fun with them. I guess it is good to be out of our comfort zone at times, because of my back and such I coloured this adorable Elisabeth Bell image over a whole week! and each section I coloured I kept thinking I'm not sure about these colours but I can't possibly start again lol By the end I was glad I had stuck with it, had it of been coloured under normal circumstances it would of gone in the bin after just colouring the flower without a second thought so I guess my health was actually a positive in this case lol. Enough of the rambling, I added glamour dust to her fairy wings after lightly colouring. The bobble trim is also from My Mind's Eye, it was a kit I had a couple of years ago but cannot remember the name of and then the white ribbon was in my stash.
