Crafty Calendar Challenges & My Time To Craft 'All Things New' Challenge

Good morning all, I hope today finds you all fit and well.

I have a short post for you today to share my card I made for the Crafty Calendar Challenge and the My Time To Craft Challenge where we are looking to see your 'All Things New' projects. As both challenges are looking for the same elements I decided to go with the one card as I am trying to get ahead due to us going off on holiday in a couple of weeks.

I used two different file to create my card today, the first was for the base shape and the white panel and then another file for the laundry line and clothes. The sentiment is a really old one I brought at a car boot sale years ago.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Limetree Crafts

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
Cut It Up - Babies 07/01
That's Crafty - Something Blue 16/01

Elisabeth Bell Digi Bell's Guest

Merry Christmas

Hello all although I am pretty sue I am talking to myself lol at least I hope I am and that you have all had a wonderful Christmas where ever you are.

Today it is my turn to share with you some inspiration using another image from the wonderful Elisabeth Bell Digi Collection. I have used 'Fairy Merrily' and have added her to this shadow box card. This is the very last Christmas card I made for this year and although it was a little confusing following the tutorial video I got there in the end and love the finished result. My granddaughter Sophie loved it and acquired it for herself before it could even be written in lol. This card is a nice 5" x 7" and folds flat for posting.

Here is a side view to show the different layers.
 Supplies:-
Card Stock - Limetree Crafts
Medium - Copics & Promarkers

Copics & Promarkers Used:-
Skin - E21, E51, E50, E00 & R20
Hair - Cinnamon, Tan, March Hare

My Time To Craft 'Christmas Tree's' Challenge

Good morning all, it is nearly time for the big day are you all ready? we are. The presents are all wrapped, the dinner  has been ordered just awaiting delivery on Christmas Eve. It is Christmas Day at our house this year as we have the most room unfortunately, only joking it will be lovely to have all the children and grandchildren round.

Anyhow enough of all that, it is time for another challenge at My Time To Craft and this week we are looking for Christmas Tree's. I ended up making two cards as I made the first one for last weeks challenge before I realised I had done the wrong week oops so I made another to go with it.

Both cards were made with my Silhouette Cameo. The first is a 6" square card and I just love how the trees look in the non traditional different colours. I just added a few sequins that I have had for years to both cards to finish them off.

The second card is a 5" x 7" card and the area's between each tree and the ends are cut out (see next photo).

This will be our last challenge of 2014 and we will return on 3rd January 2015.

Supplies For Both Cards:-
Card Stock - Mostly Bazzill with some odd bits mixed in

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
Cards Galore - Anything Goes 30/12
Crafty Hazelnut - Anything Christmas 01/01

My Time To Craft 'ATC' Challenge

Good morning all, how are we all doing on this cold and frosty morning?

Today we start a new challenge at My Time To Craft and this week we are challenging you to ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) and let me tell you this was definitely a challenge for me. Having not made one before I was looking for the necessary measurements to start with which are 3.5" x 2.5" and once I saw those I was thinking what on earth can I fit on that!

However I turned to my trusty Silhouette Cameo and came up with two ATC's, go me. The first one was a bit of a trial and I started by creating my size on my cameo mat and then seeing what worked best. I cut a star background and used that as a mask, inking through it with Faded Jeans, Broken China and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks lightest colour at the bottom.  Then cut my three tree's adding the smaller two flat and raising the middle biggest one on foam tape.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill

The second one was actually a card design that I shrank, cutting all the necessary elements but then adding some snow to the ground.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill

I will be back shortly with my Crafty Calendar Challenge post.
 Have a lovely weekend.

WARNING Photo heavy.

My family are all coming to my house for Christmas this year so I was looking to create something to go on my window ledge in the bay window as it is a lovely big space that could take it. I have decided to make a winter wonderland scene with shops and buildings so if any of you see any lovely 3d buildings please let me know I would be extremely grateful.

What I have today is Harley's, I am also making another of these for Mia but it isn't quite finished as yet. I will then look into making some shops or building for my older grandchildren.

I love how this house turned out, I used Lori Whitlock's Gingerbread House which comes in three parts and then added a few other bits as listed below main image. I have tried so hard to show this in the dark as it lights up beautifully with just two little tea lights in it but all I keep getting is photo's of the windows lol there must be some technical button I should have pressed.

On this view you can see I added the banner with Harley's name sketched on, I decided to hang my wreath with bakers twine rather than stick it and I also added glossy accents to it. A brad for the door handle and some gems for the gingerbread man's eyes and buttons to finish this side off.

On this side I decided to use Christmas light bulbs instead of the circles that came with it. I did add a star to the top of the tree but it is not easily seen with the overhanging roof.

I couldn't decide whether or not to add another tree on this side or not so it may get changed as yet.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - A really old DCWV pack from 2009 I think
Brad, Gems & Twine - Stash
Glossy Accents - Ranger
Pen - Silhouette
Die Cuts - 3d Gingerbread House #22479, #22480 & #22481 by Lori Whitlock, Christmas Lights #51704 by Miss Kate Cuttables, Assorted  Curved Party Buntings #44263 by Totally Jamie & Star Charm #17340 by Silhouette.

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
Holly Jolly Christmas - Anything Goes Christmas 12/10
Crafting Desert Divas - Anything But A Card 12/10

Now it is your turn to create some home decor for us to see.

My Time Craft 'Recipe' Challenge

Good morning all, isn't this weather rubbish someone bring the sunshine back please. David and I had a lovely few days last week with our daughter and granddaughter although I am not sure how we got roped into babysitting on 2 occasions in such a short time especially when our son in law was at work for most of it lol.

Ok so this week at My Time To Craft we have a recipe for you, no need to get your cooking utensils out unless you want to of course! We have a list of items you can use and you must use at least 3 of them.
Here is the list:-
2 Images
Stripy Paper
3 or More Eyelets
Double Bow (Ribbon, Twine or Cord Etc)
Gate Fold Card
Easel Card
Blue
3 Flowers
3 Buttons

For my card which I made for my neighbour whose birthday was yesterday I used Stripy Paper, Blue & 3 Buttons. I was really stuck for what to make and had looked down the RAF route because he is in that and couldn't find anything that related to what he did, then came across a card on Pinterest and it gave me the inspiration for this. The heart buttons were part a of a joke we were having with him. My papers are all digital downloads from the Silhouette store and I love that the pattern shrinks to fit the shape you want to put it on, it is not so obvious on the chevron but the striped bit is more so if you look between the banner ends.

Supplies:-
6" Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - Just Us #42032 & Spring Paper #41180 by Digital Pink Ink
Bakers Twine - My Craft Spot

That is all for today, please hop over to the challenge blog HERE to see all the other gorgeous creations.

My Time To Craft 'Up, Up & Away' Challenge

Oh my goodness this post should of gone live on Saturday and I have just noticed it still in draft, I scheduled it and all but obviously forgot to press publish! This is the first chance I have had to look as we had our grandson to stay for the weekend and boy did he wear us out. He is not 2 until August yet he really is behaving like a terrible 2 year old lol, throwing a hissy fit when you tell him no. He did make us laugh as he didn't want to sleep in his cot but would happily curl up in the dog's bed with them, my daughter in law said we should of left him there for the night as the dog's were happy to have him.

OK so this week at My Time To Craft we are going 'Up, Up & Away' which means we would like to see anything that goes in the sky however if you are using a bird or butterfly it must be the main focal point on the card.

For my card I went with a hot air balloon and found this great 3d style one which I love as it folds flat to go in an envelope. It is a 5" x 7" card and I have left the sentiment tag blank as not sure who this will be for as yet. This was super easy to make and I used my scraps from the Echo Park Walk In The Park collection.

My card is straight it is just the angle I must have took it at.
Supplies:-
Card Stock - Lidl
Designer Papers - Echo Park 'Walk In The Park'
Brads - Papermania

Side view showing the 3d effect of the balloon.

See you all soon and have a wonderful week.

Crafty Calendar 'Things With Wings' Challenge

Good morning again. As I said in my post below I am back with my card for the Crafty Calendar Challenge but if you are looking for my My Time To Craft post you will find it below.

So this month we have a fabulous sponsor from an artist I love and that being Elisabeth Bell who generously gave us some images to play with as well as a wonderful prize for one of you.  Our challenge this month is 'Things With Wings' and I can tell you Elisabeth has several of those images so in both rubber and digital so no excuse to join in.

For my card I went with something different for me, no patterned paper and lots of die cuts all in white! I must admit I quite like the final card but boy was it hard to choose those die cuts lol. I have used Fairy Merrily and of course gave her lovely glittery wings, I added a pin and a charm as these were the challenge requirements over at Elphine House Australia. I was lucky enough to win last month's challenge with my apron card found HERE, so had to play along again even though pins are a real challenge for me as I can never get them to look good!

For some unknown reason my image looks like her dress isn't coloured but it is in pale blues.

6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Charm - Stash

Items in Red are available at Natalie & Amy's.

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-

My Time To Craft 'Charming' Challenge

Good morning all, what lovely weather we have had this week I just wonder how long it will last. Last Sunday it was so nice to be able to get out in the garden for some fresh air although going out and buying the grandchildren a trampoline was not on the agenda but hey ho they might as well have one while we have some nice weather.  However after a lovely weekend my dear grandson decided to give me his lurgy lol. By Sunday evening I had the sorest throat I have ever had, an awful earache, along with a cough and cold and there is no sign of it leaving me as yet, yuck what a gift to give lol.

Anyhow onto the matter in hand it is time for a new challenge at My Time To Craft and this week it is 'Charming', you need to use a charm somewhere on your creation. I went with a shaped card this week and even added some paper piecing to my image so that her apron matched my card lol. I inked all the edges of my pieces including my image as I just felt it needed something.

My Time To Craft 'Frame It' Challenge

Good morning again, if you came here looking for my Silhouette Challenges post it is below this one HERE

So onto today's challenge at My Time To Craft which this week is 'Frame It', we would like to see either your image or sentiment in a frame. I decided to make a style of card that I have not made before where by my sentiment in this case swivels in it's frame between the front and inside. I used a cutting file from the Silhouette Store (details in the supply list) and a freebie sentiment from Create with TLC. A few pearls added for embellishing. Oh dear if you could have seen me with those pearls, one of them just would not stick to the card yet would not come off my finger. I had to use my craft knife in the end to lift it off which is not a good thing to do with my hands as they are at the moment lol.

I have made this card for my aunt who is always coming out with sayings like this and is a little down at the moment.

This is it closed.

Here it is swinging.
Supplies:-
Card Stock - Lidl
Pearls - Home Bargains.

That's all from me, short and sweet as my hands are hurting nearly as much as my legs and my new tablets are making me feel sleepy. Oh the joys!

Please pop over and see what the other girls made, you can find them all HERE.

Silhouette 'Any Kind of Box' Challenge

It's the time for another challenge over at

Ch# 10 Box Any Type
Begins: Saturday, February 1
Ends: Friday, February 28

A blog dedicated to the Silhouette Cutting Machines.
You MUST use a Silhouette somehow in your project.

Sponsor this month is:

Good morning all, as you can see it is time for another challenge over at Silhouette Challenges and this month we are making 'Boxes of any kind'. I decided a while ago to make some organisation projects for my crafting space which is limited in this house. I chose to make this recipe box but not for recipes but to hold all those small sheets of bling that were scattered around my desk and drawers. I made it at the size it was in the file and it turned out perfect for my bling. I have had the designer card stock for ages, it was a freebie 12" stack from Colorbox years ago (I don't think they even sell paper/card stock anymore lol) I thought it was too nice to use but I am now going to make coordinating items for my room with it. The little alphabet stickers were also part of the stack. This is a lovely strong box as it is double walled (as shown in the second photo) from Bazzill card stock and then all the panel coverings are from the Colourbox card stock.

A closed view

Here it is holding some of my bling.
Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Card Stock & Letters - Colorbox
Die Cut - Recipe Box #27660 by Lori Whitlock from the Silhouette Store

Hop on over and link up your project today.
Thanks for stopping by I will be back shortly with my My Time To Craft post.

My Time To Craft 'All About The Love' Challenge

Good evening all, well I am finally here. After getting a virus on my computer which completely wiped it out even though I have McAfee anti virus installed on it, it ended up having to go away to be repaired and took the man several times before he could get it to finally start up again.

Anyhow here I am with my late card and gift box for this weeks challenge at My Time To Craft where the challenge is 'All About The Love'. I made this cute square card with a matching gift box. All the cut files are listed below in the supplies section. To make these I used card stock from Lidl's, some patterned paper from an old Docrafts paper pack called 'With Love', a piece of white ribbon, a couple of black pearls and a clear gem in the flower.

The card.

 The gift box closed.

And an open view.
Supplies:-
Card Stock - Lidl's
Patterned Paper - Docrafts 'With Love'
Ribbon & Clear Gem - Stash
Black Pearls - Kanban
Die Cuts - Love Birds Card #54111 by Daniela Angelova, 3d Heart Candy Box #38513 by Lori Whitlock & 3d Pop Out Petals Flower #43874 by Alaa K Studio. The sentiment I made myself using Pacifico font welded together.

That is all for today, hopefully it won't be so long before I am back.

My Time To Craft 'Baubles' Challenge

Good morning everyone, thank you for stopping by. The mornings and evenings are getting colder but the daytime is still not too bad, does that mean we are going to get snow next week as they have forecast? I really don't want snow until after Christmas at least as my daughter is due her baby in two weeks but of course that could be four if she goings over and I really want to be able to go and see them. If it snow's I will have to wait until it has cleared because she lives nearly three hours away!

Anyhow onto the matter in hand and that is a new challenge at My Time To Craft where we are challenging you to use 'Baubles' as your main image. As soon as I saw the challenge I immediately thought to use my Lili of The Valley 'Christmas Baubles' stamp which I love but that would mean colouring and my hands have not been up to that this week. So instead I made a card with my Silhouette Cameo.

I used the Lori Whitlock A2 Swing Card Christmas Ornament #50949 file but I resized it to make an A5 sized card. I also used patterned paper from the store to called Bright Bells Pattern #35645 by Jennifer Wambach. I used white hammered card for my base and for my ornament to give a bit of texture to it. It was quite hard to photograph so have added three photo's to show it in action. All other card stock is Bazzill

This is it when fully open, I will add a sentiment to the inside but haven't decided on one as yet.

This is it when swinging, I think one of the grandchildren will like this.
Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill & Unknown Hammered White
Sentiment - Unkown Old Wooden Stamp

Wow that has got to be the shortest list of supplies lol.

That is all from me for today, we have the decorator coming tomorrow so have had to completely empty our second bedroom out and boy you don't realise how much is in a room until you empty it!

Have a lovely weekend all.
