My Time To Craft 'Silhouette Image' Challenge

Good morning all, it is time for a new challenge over at My Time To Craft and this week we are all about 'Silhouette's', this can be made with a stamped image, using inks or as I have using a die cut.

I love this image and have wanted to put it on a glass block with fairy lights inside for my youngest granddaughter Mia but mum hasn't decided what colour she wants her new room to be yet. I simply added some little iridescent rhinestone's and this great freebie sentiment from Create With TLC and the job was finished.

6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Rhinestones - Papermania

Short and sweet I'm afraid as I am suffering from bad headaches at the moment, I will hopefully be back to edit soon.

Elisabeth Bell Digi Guest DT Card

Good morning all and welcome to another post from me as my part of the Elisabeth Bell Digi Bells Guest Design Team.

I decided a couple of weeks ago whilst sorting out to try and use my never ending stash of items in my craft room before I buy any more. So with this in mind I made this card using another of the fabulous new release images from Elisabeth Bell called 'Valentine Angel Reading' along with some odd papers, just a few a of the massive amounts of flowers I have and a small piece of ribbon.

"Flowers" I hear you shout, "you never use flowers" and that is exactly why I have so many, well that and the fact my mum purchased a massive selection of them from a car boot sale last year for just a couple of pounds but they are all unusual colours which really throws me. Anyhow I put a few on this card, still not sure if I like it or not but my stash is now 6 flowers lighter lol.

The colours for this card were determined by the flowers, I added glossy accents and then glamour dust to the wings after I first coloured it with a soft promarker.

 Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Lidl
Designer Papers - Papermania 'Happy Days'
Ribbon - My ever lasting stash

Elisabeth Bell Guest DT Card

Good morning all, today I have another card for you featuring one of the lovely Elisabeth Bell's Digital Images.

I decided to go all summery with this one and this image just reminds me of my daughter and my niece who are the same age all but 5 months between them. They were inseparable as young children and would always want an outfit the other had, to the point that my sister in law and I would buy two of something if it was for either of them lol. As a family we always holidayed together right up until our children were teenagers and would constantly get the 'are they twins' questions.

So I went Elisabeth Bell's 'Little Friends' image which can be found HERE and tied it together with nice pastel colours and a summer sentiment. Printed the image on my new laser printer and then cut out on my cameo, along with the sentiment. The papers are from the Papermania Spots & Stripes Pastel Collection.

 Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy

Elisabeth Bell Guest DT Card

Good morning people how are we all today? I know many of you are just finishing your first week back at work so I am sure you will be looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

I am here today with another card I created as part of my time as guest designer for Elisabeth Bell's Digi Bell's team.

I have used the adorable 'Little Miss Mouse' which can be found in Elisabeth's Digital Collection HERE. It is such a cute image I just had to colour it all summery. I actually added glossy accents to the toadstool spots and liquid pearls to the flower centres but they are not showing up to well. I kept the rest pretty simple as the image is quite large and I didn't think it needed much else to show it off.

Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - First Edition 'Blank Canvas'

All items in Red are available from Natalie & Amy's Store

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-

Crafty Calendar 'Summertime Fun' Challenge

Good afternoon all.

This month at Crafty Calendar Challenge we are challenging you to 'Summertime Fun', so anything you like to do during the summer months. We are sponsored this month by Squiggle Fly who have not only offered a wonderful prize for one of you but also gave the design team members lots of images to play with. I was in need of some male cards and decided to use three images on this card from the Summertime set found HERE. I went for a clean and simple look with this one and I added glossy accents to the glasses instead of colouring a water level although not sure why they looks grey.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amys
Card Stock - Bazzill

I will be back tomorrow with my Silhouette Challenge creation, see you soon.

Crafty Calendar 'All Things Christmas' & My Time To Craft 'Quilt It' Challenge.

Good morning all, brrr it has turned really cold and rainy here I hope it is better where you are.

Today see's the start of 2 new challenges and because I am still not up to speed with my crafting I joined them together. At Crafty Calendar Challenge we have the challenge of 'All Things Christmas' and we are sponsored by the wonderful Elisabeth Bell who gave us some beautiful images to play with. Then over at My Time To Craft Challenge we have the challenge of 'Quliting'.

Before I get onto my card I just wanted to let you know that My Time To Craft are having a DT Call so if you fancy creating with your own images and supplies this could be the team for you plus we are all really really friendly. We are looking for around 5 people, plenty of places to go around so if you fancy it just add DT after your name when you enter the challenge.

For my card I used a quilting block template from the Silhouette store by Snapdragon Snippets although most of it is covered up lol. I cut this out of some -- papers and then stitched them on my machine, can you see the wonky stitching I thought this would be easier than drawing the stitching on but oh so much more stressful. I used the print and cut feature on my silhouette to cut the image out of the frame background, then cut this pretty frame front by Skyber Lowen from card stock which I then triple embossed and added glamour dust to the final coat. It doesn't really show well in the photo but it really is glossy and sparkly. The sentiment was a freebie from Create With TLC and I also added some holly and berries (after putting glossy accents on the berries) by Rivka Wilkins again from the Silhouette Store.
See below photo for links to supplies.

Natalie & Amy's 'For The Boys' Challenge

Good morning all how are you all? I hope you are all safe and not suffered any severe damage from the storm on Monday.

Wow it feels like forever since I last posted, in fact it has been a month and although I am still finding it hard to craft I have actually made a card don't faint on me lol. It is time for a new challenge at Natalie & Amy's and I thought to myself if I start really early I might be able to get a card done and yes it took awhile but I got there and it made me realise just how much I have missed crafting. I know I haven't left any comments lately due to my hands but I have by and looked at all your beautiful creations. I am currently awaiting an appointment to see a neurologist as my gp is not happy with my hand situation and also feels the hospital here need to know my story for future developments. I have also finally had an Occupational Therapy appointment and now waiting for them to come and assess my home to see what they can do with my bathroom as they couldn't offer any solutions at the outpatient appointment so all things are heading in the right direction.

Ok as I said it is time for a new challenge over at Natalie & Amy's and this month we are challenging you to 'For The Boys'. I used to hate making boys cards but with the great image's and perfect papers of late they are so much easier to make.

For my card I used some of the Dovecraft Back To Basics II papers and teamed them with this Sassy Sheryl image. I cut my border with a Spellbinders Edgeabilites Die then my image, sentiment and tag layers were all cut on my Cameo. I added a little jute twine to my tag but have just noticed it has slipped from where I placed it lol. All links to items used are below.

Supplies:-
Card Blank - 6" White Square N & A
Dimension Tape - Stick It 3d Foam Squares N & A
Image, Tag & Sentiment Layers - Lori Whitlock 6 Bracket Layer #34961

 Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-
Skin - Apricot, Oatmeal, Blush & Baby Pink for cheeks
Hat - Chilli Red, Red Rooster & Molten Red
Hair - Saddle Brown, Cocoa & Cinnamon
T-Shirt & Shoes - Chartruese, Leaf Green & Green Shoot
Teddy - Caramel, Cappuchino & Champagne
Jeans - Capri Blue, Denim Blue & Frozen Lake

It is at times like this that I am so glad of having a template to use!

I will hopefully be back Saturday so see you all soon.

My Time To Craft 'Gate Folded' Challenge

Good morning all this is the first of two posts today so if your looking for my Crafty Calendar Challenge card you will find it HERE.

I would firstly like to apologise for lack of posts in the last few weeks but I am struggling with some health issue's. One of them  is constant pins and needles in my hands with holding pens, scissors etc becoming a problem and therefore everything taking a lot longer to make but adding to that I have constant pain in my back and leg and struggling with that too.

Anyhow onto today, it's time for a new challenge at My Time To Craft and this week the challenge is 'Gate Folded' cards. I haven't made a gatefold card in ages. I kind of made my card inside out as I used a large sentiment on the front and placed an image on the inside for a change.

I used a sheet of the heavy 12" x 12" bazzill card stock cut down to 6" x 12" then scored at 3" and 9". I really scored it well but because it is the heavy weight card I couldn't get it to stay completely shut whilst I took the photo so have to place a bottle's on the top and bottom to hold it so please ignore those. I kept the front quite simple with the focus on the sentiment which was a freebie from Create With TLC.

For the inside I created this little scene with a set of stamps I have had for ages but I have no idea where they came from, I think they could have been a freebie looking at the packaging.
Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Images - Unknown
Sentiment - Create With TLC
Pearls - Stash

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-
Tree - Umber, Firewood, Pesto, Olive Green & Herb Green
Cat - Burnt Orange & Spice

Roof - Earth Yellow & Sleigh Bell
House - Champagne
Windows - Sleigh Bell
Door - Midnight Blue
Fence - Caramel & Sandstone
Greenery Behind Fence - Forest Green, Grass & Leaf Green
Flowers - Yellow & Trick Or Treat
Path - Cool Grey 3, 2 & 1
Butterfly - Purple & Spring Lilac

Sparkles Monthly 'Monochromatic' Challenge

Good morning all. I hope today finds you all well even though the weather is not being to kind on us and spreading lots of colds around.

It feels like forever since I have been on here, what with some nice person hacking my blogger account and keeping my locked out for over a week grrr, they drive me crazy what do they achieve apart from deleting a couple of posts and the hassle of getting back on NOTHING so what's the point. We then had our son and his family moving from Essex to Lincolnshire, they are finally all settled and happy in their new home. Now all I need is to keep my daughter out of hospital and eating (she is pregnant and cannot keep a thing down so is spending most of her time in hospital attached to a drip) oh and if she lived nearer than the 3 hour drive it is to get to her that would help lol.

Anyhow, enough of the rambling back to the matter in hand. This month at Sparkles Monthly we are challenging you to 'Monochromatic' so make anything you like just as long as it is all in one colour shade. We have a great sponsor this month in Crafty Ribbons and here is a little about them.

Crafty Ribbons is a ribbon emporium, we are passionate about ribbons and want to share our fantastic ribbons with others. Our range of Christmas ribbons is second to none.
Remember when we only used ribbons to add a bow to our hair, or tie up a birthday parcel? Ribbons are now a "must-have" for all types of craft. Whether your project requires satin, sheer, silk, grosgrain, gingham or polka dot ribbon we have them all! Lots and lots of different colours in a range of widths.
Need a little bit of ribbon inspiration - then have a look at our projects on our blog,or visit our Inspiration blog,or maybe join in with us at our Challenge blog. Go on, have a look... It's worth it !

For my card I decided to make the base from a sheet of Bazzill cutting it down to 6" x 12" and folding it top to bottom. I then used the Kaisercraft 'Script' stamp on the top and bottom section stamping it with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink although it doesn't show up very well in the photo. I added a strip of Dotted Bazzill to the middle before adding this lovely Loni Leah Designs die cut with a Create With TLC freebie sentiment in the middle. A few gems to finish it off, this was really easy to make and yet I like the effect and simplicity of it.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Die Cut - Silhouette Store by Loni Leah Designs 'Dotted Flourish Label' i.d num 21566
Sentiment - Create With TLC 'Freebie'
