Double Dutch Sketch Challenge

I have enjoyed making this card for a friend to give her partner and as my entry to the Double Dutch Challenge. This week there is a sketch to follow.

Forever Friends Challenge 'Oriental'

Over at the Forever Friends site they have set the challenge as 'Oriental'. This threw me a little as I have never made an oriental card and could not think of anything I had to do with it either. So I googled awhile and managed to find 2 different free backing papers on the canon website. I used the bonsia tree as the backing then the script paper for matting and to make the fan. Have a look and see what you think. Oh and wording at the bottom spells out 'Forever Friends'

Sketch Saturday Challenge

I thought I would make a card today for a very dear friend who is having terrible problems at home at the moment. She really needs to take time out for herself instead of always thinking about everyone. I saw the sketch over at Sketch Saturday and hey presto here is the card.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge 1,2,3

Here is a card I made for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge, which has the theme 1,2,3 (1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellishments). I decided to make it a valentines card as over on Stampin Stuff Blog they are asking for people to send valentine's cards to make some elderly folks happy. This card will therefore be sent off to them.
