Do You Like This Wedding Card??

I had an order today for a wedding card but they had no idea what they wanted or what colours, so I showed them a few papers and stamps and went with what they chose. Once I saw the lilac top hat on the papers I just knew that was the colour to go with and the bride's dress is ivory with lilace flowers but it doesn't show to well in the photo.
I used the 'Sketch' from this week's Create 4 Fun Challenge and found that this card also fits into three other challenges which are Passion For Promarkers who have the theme 'Anything Goes', Quixotic have the theme 'Emboss It' and Splitcoast Stampers Sugar Nellie have the theme 'Flowers'.
I created the flower using 5 flower shapes cut from on the cricut using accent essentials, 2 were cut at 1.75" and 3 were cut at 1.5".

Supplies:-
6" Card Blank - Craft Superstore
Designer Papers - Dovercraft 'Wedding'
Cardstock - Paper Mill Shop
Stamp - Sugar Nellie 'Happliy Ever After'
Medium - Promarkers
Die Cut - Cricut Sure Cuts A Lot 2
Embossing - Cuttlebug 'Hearts Block'
Flower - Cricut Accent Essentials 'Accent 32'
Ribbon - Crafty Ribbons
Thread - DMC
Charm - Local Craft Shop
Stickles - Diamond Lace
Gems - Anita's Gem Wheel.

As you can see it is a little different and my customer loved it, I was unsure at first but once it was all together I really liked it. There is no sentiment on the card as the customer has ordered a stamp for it herself.

Crafty Sentiments Challenge Week 20 DT Card

SORRY FOLKS FOR SOME REASON BLOGGER JUST WILL NOT POST MY POST DATED POSTS.
Good morning all, well the weather is a little overcast here on the east coast of England but at least it is not raining yet and I am hoping it will stay that way for those of you that have gone away for the bank holiday weekend.

Today brings us to week 20 over at Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog where do the weeks go?? This week we have a nice easy challenge for you and that is to 'use punches' on you creation. I have used both a border punch and a flower punch for my creation and I say creation as it is not quite a card but I don't know another word for it lol. I have made a variation of a Pocket Card I saw on Stampin Inspirations blog aka Maria Bell because I needed an acceptence note for a 60th birthday we have been invited to. If you have a look at Maria's card you will see that the inner base flap is stuck down to create a pocket but I left this undone to create a flap. I made my own version using Sure Cuts Alot 2 as I didn't want the glue down flaps and I wanted the base flap slightly smaller so it moved with ease. (I am sure once you look at the photo's all will make sense lol).
I noticed whilst uploading these photo's that I had taken them before I added a 6 and 0 on the inside of the opening flaps.

This is it closed

This is the inner flap I have been talking about (please excuse the paper clips they are just holding shut for the photo)

Here it is fully open and you can see why I decided to change it so that I could add some text.
I hope you like it.
Supplies:-
Designer Papers - DCWV 'Linen Stack'
Image - Crafty Sentiments 'Teddy With Flowers'
Sentiments - Crafty Sentiments
Medium - Promarkers
Punches - Flowers - Woodware & Border - Xcut
Gems - Papermania
Eyelets - Papermania
Charm - Quixotic
Ribbon - Crafty Ribbons.

Thanks for visiting and don't forget to hop on over to the Crafty Sentiments Blog to see all the other creation from the other dt members.

I would like to enter this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge where the theme is Pink or Blue with Green & Brown.

A Card For My God Daughter's Birthday

My god daughter was 4 yesterday and all she wanted from me was a Hello Kitty card which is not too much to ask except I do not own either of the Hello Kitty cricut cartridges. So I set about trying to convert one myself using sure cuts alot 2 and a children's colouring page. Here is what I came up with.
The back of the card is the rectangle shape and the front is the kitty with her name, I tried to take a photo of it open but it was just not easy to see. I decided on the ballet kitty as she has just started having ballet lessons. The pink is a glittered vinyl which I was not sure about using but it really does look lovely in real life and Thavisha loved it so that's all that matters to me.
If anyone would like the file for it please just email me and I will send it to you, although the name is welded it can be amended (or I will amend it for you if you would like me to).

Crafty Sentiments Challenge Week 19 DT Card

FOR SOME REASON MY BLOGGER DIDN'T FANCY POSTING THIS FOR ME IN MY ABSENSE SO MY APOLOGIES BUT WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY HERE IT IS.
Good morning everyone on this beautiful sunny weekend, well it is on the east coast of England anyway and if it's not where you are I hope your enjoying your weekend anyway. Whilst you are reading this I will be at my god daughter's 4th birthday party today. This is a difficult weekend for my god daughter's family, my husband and myself as on my god daughter's birthday last year her grandmother whom we were very close to was killed in a road accident on the way home from the party. Last weekend the family had a celebration of life for the grandmother but I was unable to go due to illness and today we will celebrate my god daughter's birthday before they leave for Disneyland this evening.
Anyhow on to the matter in hand, today is the day for a new challenge over at Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog and this week we have another great sketch to play with, you can use it as it is or feel free to rotate or flip it. We would love for you to use Crafty Sentiment stamps which are available from the Crafty Sentiments webshop however, if you don't have any you can use any stamps you have and that way you have the chance to win some.

Here are a couple of items that I made a few weeks ago but they have not been featured on my blog so I am hoping that I can enter the Passion For Promarkers Challenge with them. Their challenge this week is a theme called 'Strawberries and Cream' and these two items I think fit perfectly.
I made these items for Crafty Ribbons, they were made with the ribbons seen on them which they sent to me along with several other colours. I will show you the other items I made some other time.
Here is a gift box I made with the help of Tracy aka Scrap Happens at her last crop.

I Am On A Roll Plus Did You Hear?

**This post has been edited to add the Create 4 Fun link which I omiited originally, so my apologies for this.**
Good afternoon, well I am certainly on a roll I have managed to make another two challenge cards lol. It has been really nice to sit down and craft in piece and quite.
My first card is for the Peachy Keen Challenge and as soon as I saw their sketch I thought of a film strip but had no idea what to put into it and kept shuffling images around until I arrived at this. Which I have to say I really like now, I was just having problems visualising it.

Here is the end result, sorry it seems a little distant I struggle to get it all in. Click on photo for a clearer look.
Supplies:-
Card Base 9" x 9" halved lengthwise - Paper Mill Shop
Designer Papers - DCWV 'Linen closet'
Stamps - Belles & Whistle 'Belle with teddy' 'Warm apple pie' & 'Sisters'
Sentiment - Simon Says Stamp 'Elephant love'
Medium - Promarkers
Flowers - Prima
Border Punch - Xcut
Button, Lace & Thread - Sewing box.

My second card is for the Create 4 Fun Challenge and Roses On Paper Challenge where they have the challenge to use the colours 'Pink, Yellow & Orange' now these are not the normal sort of colours I would use together but the end result is quite eye catching whether that is in a good way or not I am not to sure lol. The Create 4 Fun Challenge sketch was a great sketch to use as I had to apply my thinking cap for those little x's. Plus I used my sewing machine for the first time to pleat the ribbon, it came out a little wonky but I don't think it is too bad for a first try. I cut the little cross shapes on my circut and then outlined them with a white gel pen.
Anyway here is my card for the challenge.
Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Craft Superstore
Designer Papers - DCWV 'Citrus stack'
Stamp - Belles & Whistle 'Warm apple pie'
Sentiment - The Stamps Of Lie 'Tiny and 2 cute'
Medium - Promarkers
Flowers - Prima
Ribbon - Won in a candy draw from Mandy aka Crafty Fox
Brads - Stash
White Stitching - Signo gel pen.

Also whilst I was over at Roses On Paper I noticed that Belles & Whistle are having a design team call but if you want to enter you will have to be quick as it ends tonight but good luck to all of you that have entered.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge.

Don't faint everyone I finally managed to make a card that was not a dt card lol. I have been wanting to send a card to my fellow dt buddy Fiona aka Lil Daffodil for a couple of weeks now but due all the problems we have had here I have only now managed to make it. I just hope Fiona can forgive me for it taking so long to arrive.

For this card I decided to use my all time favourite stamp, Sugar Nellie's 'Daisy' and as I am using a sugar nellie stamp what better sketch to use it on  than the Sugar Bowl sketch for this fortnight. For this challenge they have the added element of 'Recycling' which I completely forgot until the end but I think I still qualify as the the 2 quatre circles were originally going to be my centre circle but I managed to cut it too large lol so 'recycled' it to the corners.

Supplies:-
Designer Papers - DCWV 'Linen Closet Stack'
Image Stamp - Sugar Nellie 'Daisy'
Sentiment Stamp - Stamp Of Life 'Tiny And Cute'
Medium - Promarkers
Flowers - Prima
Brads - Making Memories

Crafty Sentiments Challenge Week 17 DT Card

Good Sunday morning to you all, it's time for our regular Crafty Sentiments Challenge and this week we have another great 'sketch' for you. Plus this week I finally got to use one of the new release Amy stamps, this one is part of the wedding collection and called 'Bride 1' available from the Crafty Sentiments Shop HERE. Some of you may have seen this image last week during he release party which I unfortunately couldn't take part in as my son decided to have appendicitis how inconvenient lol. By the way thank you all for the well wishes he is finally back to normal and driving me mad to go back to school which he can do on tomorrow yay. I had hoped this would be our last hospital trip for a while but on no apart from myself going in and out regularly, we arrived home from hospital to find an appointment for this same son to go into hospital in June to have his wrist broken and pinned due to the mess the hospital made of it when he broke it in two places last October.

Right enough of my wow's lol here is the sketch.
Here is my card and as you can see I have rotated it and omitted the sentiment box. As I had the wording in the heart and on the backing paper I didn't think another sentiment was necessary.

Supplies:-
Cardstock - Paper Mill Shop
Stamp - Crafty Sentiment's 'Bride 1'
Medium - Promarkers
Dies - Nestability Classic & Scalloped Ovals and Hearts
Ribbon - Crafty Ribbons
Glitter - Stickles

Crafty Calendar Challenges DT Card

Good morning all, it's the first Friday of the month and that means it's time for another challenge from Crafty Calendar Challenges.  This month we have the challenge of 'The Great Outdoors' with the added option of 'Insects'.

I really enjoyed making this card as it is a little different. The image I chose is one of the popular Mo Manning's digital images and I think this one was one of her first freebie's, it also came with some accessories which I chose not to use. I also tried something which I have seen around blogland but not tried before myself. I cut the lettering on my circut from a cereal box and then again with my patterned paper, I inked the edges of the cereal cuts before sticking my patterned papers to them. This has given them depth and made them more rigid.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card - Paper Mill Shop
Designer Papers - DCWV 'Citrus Stack'
Cardboard - Nestle 'Crunchy Nut Cornflakes!!'
Image - Mo Mannings 'Summer Baby'
Medium - Promarkers
Lace Trim - Craftmania Craft Store
Ladybirds - Craftmania Craft Store
Lettering - Cricut 'Plantin Schoolbook'
Sun - Cricut 'Accent Essentials'

I hope you like my card, please now pop on over to the Crafty Calendar Challenges blog and have a look at all the other talent from my fellow design team members.

National Scrapbook Day My Pink Stamper Challenges

Good evening all, those of you that read my blog will know that my youngest son is in hospital and therefore I was unable to take part in any National Scrapbook Day challenges but I did do my bit for the day.
On the young adult ward where my son is are two young girls aged 12 and 13 who don't seem to get many visitors and keep popping into the room where my son and another lad is wanting them to play games with them. Of course two lads of 15 and 16 are not too impressed so I find myself playing board games just to occupy them.
Then, when I came home from the hospital on Saturday evening I saw all the challenges that Robyn aka My Pink Stamper had running and decided to take in some supplies and get the girls crafting, if of course they wanted to. They jumped at the chance. I cut out various shapes on my circut that I thought they might want to use and took those along with my scraps box for them to play with.
Here is what they created for each challenge, I have only added one project for each challenge but they both made an item for all challenges.
NOTE FOR ROBYN AND DESIGN TEAM
I hope it is alright for me to put these all in one post but link to each challenge seperately, if not please delete.
Challenge 1 For Mom
Challenge 2 Get Scrappy
This card was made out of all the pieces I keep in my scraps box for my god daughter to play with and not the shapes I had cut for them lol
Challenge 3 & 4 Not Entered
These two challenges were too difficult for me to achieve under the circumstances.
Challenge 5 For Teacher
Challenge 6 Kids Crafts
I am entering all these projects as they were all made by kids.
Challenge 7 For Dad
They argued over who was going to use this embossed piece as it was the only piece in the box lol
.
Challenge 8 Monochromatic With A Flower

Challenge 9 Shaped
The teddy face was stamped by one of the nurses, it is one of there 'good boy/girl' stamps
Challenge 10 Spring
Challenge 11 Not Entered
Oops I missed this one
Challenge 12 Animal or Critter
This butterfly is 3 layers and all I had was the vellum piece which they drew around to make the extra layers themselves.
Didn't they do a great job.
I have agreed that should any prize be won from these enteries I will donoate it to the ward or if not useable on the ward I will donate the equivilent  in craft goods.

Edited to add:-
Since writing this post my son has been allowed home, hopefully for good this time.

Crafty Sentiments Challenge Week 16 DT Card

Good morning all, well it's Sunday morning again already and that means it is time for another Crafty Sentiments Challenge however you will notice that I don't have a project for you today.
This is because my youngest son was taken into hospital last Sunday with a suspected appendicitous which he later had removed last Monday. Now had this all of gone to plan he would of been home and back on the road to recovery but due to complications whereby part of his epiglotis is dying off he was only home 12 houes before he had to go back in. Thry are giving him high doses of antibiotics to try and save the remaining part and to make sure the infection that he now has does not spread throughout his body.
So onto a lighter note please do pop over to the Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog and join in with the challenge it is a nice easy one this week plus some of the design team have used the new release of Amy stamps.
I will return with a card as soon as I can.
