You have until Monday 29th 7pm GMT to complete the hop

I decided as soon as I saw the image of Billy 'Lets Swim' that I was going to make a fish bowl, I had seen something similar on Tereesa's Up Late 2 Create blog some time ago and had been wanting to make one ever since and this seemed the perfect time. I also used some of the fish from the accessory set.

Today is also the start of this week's challenge which is 'Ribbons & Bows', now this wasn't easy to incorporate in my fish bowl and I made it even harder on myself by forgetting to add them until over half of the bowl had been put together. They are not the best and you probably can't see them that well but what I did was twist some seam binding and add it to make some of the reeds. If you click on the photo's to make them bigger you can see the ribbon more easily. I had to use brads at the top to hold it together temporarily as the large gromlets I ordered didn't arrive in time.

The fish bowl itself was cut out of acetate on my Cricut using the Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge at 8.5" x 10" to give you an idea of the size. I then added various sea life from Pack Your Bags Cartridge. I embossed most of the cuts using various folders and added some faces to my cuts with the Peachy Keen Funshine Faces set. All of the cuts and images are attached with very fine fishing line, they then dangle and swing freely in the bowl. I used my Cri-Kit glitter pens in my Cricut to draw all the pieces before adding them as die cuts as they then look like shadows but unfortunately the camera hasn't picked this up. The bubbles all had glossy accents added to them.

My 4 year old god son came in just as I had finished this and asked what the little boy's name was, I told him Billy and he promptly informed me that Billy will be dead soon because he hasn't got a snorkel or regulator!! I guess that is what happens when your dad and uncle are Scuba Diving Instructor's lol. Way too old for his little years!!

This looks so much better in real life as it all moves.

I added this photo of a side angle to show how it goes together but it is not very clear, the jelly fish/octopus was very pleased to have another photo taken lol.

This card has to be one of the best handmade cards I've ever seen, anyone who looks at it can see the amount of hard work you've put into it. Your godson's comments made me laugh, but he's spot on really if you look at it from a factual point of view!
I love the colours you've used Kim, this is a spectacular card.
Well done!
Lots of love, Karen xx

This is incredible, Kim! It's so 3-dimensional and colorful! I could have sworn that I stopped by here during the Summer Blog Hop but I haven't seen my comments on any of the blogs, even though I know I have seen the projects. Very odd! Anyway, you're a very clever artist in bringing life to this little guy. Thanks for your sweet comment on my latest card. It was very much appreciated.
