Moving Along With The Times Vintage/Shabby Chic

Good morning well no it isn't really not in this house anyway! At least the weather has cheered up somewhat here in the East of England, the question is how long will it last?

We have been waiting weeks to sign our contracts for the sale of our house and we didn't want to pack until they were signed so as not to jinx anything (our last sale fell through just before signing and we had to unpack everything, well yesterday afternoon we got a call from our solicitors to say the other parties want to complete THIS Friday!! That gives us three days to arrange storage as we still don't have anywhere to live and get this 4 storey 7 bedroom house packed, not a chance and that is exactly what we told them lol. We told the solicitor next Wednesday at the earliest and would you believe they still have not come back to us nor have we even signed the papers so who knows what is going on. I feel so sorry for my poor hubby as I cannot help with the packing and he is running round like a headless chicken not knowing if he is coming or going. My mum has been here for a few days and done quite a bit and my daughter insists on helping even though she shouldn't, my son's and son in law to be will arrive at the weekend so hopefully all will fall into place, fingers crossed.

Anyway enough doom and gloom lol and onto the matter in hand, this week at Moving Along With The Times Sue challenged us to Shabby Chic or Vintage and this is so NOT my thing. I was completely stumped for what to make when I remembered my Cricut Heritage cartridge and this is what I created. I cut the penny farthing at 5", the lamp post at 5.5" and the fence at 3.5" but stretched it. I ran the fence section through the paper crimper although it doesn't show up too well in this photo, the bicycle and lamp post have been tripled embossed with velum added to the light panels of lamp before adding glossy accents. Not the best of card's but hey ho we have to learn from our mistakes.

Supplies:-
All Papers - DCWV 'Le Creme' Stack
Paper Crimper - Fiskars
Gems - Poundland
Cricut - Heritage Cartridge
Embossing - Ranger Embossing Powder & Ranger Distress Embossing Ink
Glossy Accents - Ranger
Sentiment - Personal Impressions

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
Sweet Stamps - Shabby Chic/Vintage
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Make My Monday - Vintage
Anything Goes - Anything Goes

That's all from me for today, hopefully by my next post I won't homeless any longer lol.
