Moving Along With The Times 'Celebration in Pink, Pearl & Pretty' Challenge

Good morning all.
As the weather is being so mean to us all I thought I would start by giving you all a laugh and change my profile picture. This is my hubby and I whilst aboard our cruise ship in June and just look at my face. I just cannot smile in photo's I always manage to pull some sort of awful face, although David doesn't look much better does he he looks like he is gritting his teeth.

Anyway back to the task in hand, this week at Moving Along With The Times it is Mau's turn to set us the challenge and she went with 'Celebration in Pink, Pearls and Pretty'. I thoroughly enjoyed colouring this Whiff of Joy image and now can't understand why I have never used it before. The flourish die cut is made from a Cheery Lynn die I brought whilst at the Doncaster show with Shell last weekend, I had wanted it for ages but everywhere I looked it was either out of stock or a ridiculous amount of postage just to send that.

Supplies:-
6" Card Blank - Boyes
Card stock - Bazzill & Paper Mill Shop
Designer Papers - First Edition 'Summer Breeze'
Image - Whiff of Joy 'Willow Dressing Up'
Sentiment - ?? Paper Pretties
Medium - Promarkers & Flexmarkers
Dies - Cheery Lynn 'Fanciful Flourish' & Spellbinder 'Edgeabilities'
Pearls - Unknown Doncaster Show

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-
Hair - Walnut, Cinnamon, Tan, March Hare & Antique White
Skin - Apricot, Oatmeal & Blush
Dress & Shoes - Budding Rose, Tea Rose, Baby Pink, Pale Pink & Muted Pink.
Bracelet - Gold

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
Bearly Mine - Girly birthday card
Cards & More - Pink/Tip/No flowers
LEJ Designs - Anything goes
Papertake Weekly - All things girlie
Sassy Cheryl's - Fancy borders
Stamp N Plus - Anything goes
ABC Challenges - T use 2 of something (flourishes)
Mema's Craft - Anything Goes

I was lucky enough to be a winner at Mema's Craft last week and got 2 great Kenny K images which I can't wait to use.

Finally before I go I just wanted to show you my unit that my darling hubby made for me to store all my pens and pencils in (got to butter him up as I know he will read this and I want a paper holder one made next lol) . After buying the last of the Promarkers I needed to complete my set at Doncaster, I needed somewhere to store them all so this is what David made for me. I have not organised it or put all my pens in it yet this is David's arrangement and how I found it after returning from having my hair cut. See Shell all that noise yesterday during our phone call was worth it!

Please pop over to the challenge blog and have a look at all the other pretty pink and pearl creations you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for stopping by, I have my inlaws here for the next couple of days so will catch up with your blogs at the weekend.

Hi Kim, your card is just great. The background you made with the squares gives a great effect, the colouration of the pic is super and all the decoration is lovely. Perfect how you used the Spellbinder Edgeability for imitating a lace border. And finally the colour combination with the pink and the brown is just great.
Thank you very much for joining at the Cards und More Challenge.

Hi Kim. I love the cubicles your hubby made. You know those are being sold for Copic markers and they don't look as big as yours. Ummm think I could get someone to build me one...boy I am a dreamer. As usual you have shared another gorgeous card with us. I love the elements, the image and the colors. It's all beautiful. Thanks so much for joining us at Mema's Crafts and I hope you will visit often. Good Luck.

Fantastic card Kim, that die is on my wish list too! I think you look happy in your new photo even if you aren't grinning! That pen storage is amazing, but you need some end dots for your PM's! He should go into production!
