My Time To Craft 'Hobbies' Challenge

Good morning all I hope you are all well and busily crafting away for Christmas. I certainly need to make some more Christmas cards but I also have 4 birthdays to come before that and still have those cards to make yet.

This week at My Time To Craft we are looking for cards or projects that feature 'Hobbies', the only thing I could think of that I had an image for was fishing so I tried to look outside of the box and came up with 'Art' as it is something we as paper crafter's do in some form or another and so that is where I went with it. I used this image from Sugar Nellie which I have had for absolutely ages and I only used once I believe, that is really bad isn't it.

6" Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - Papermania 'Happy Days'

My Time To Craft 'Tag It' Challenge

Good morning ladies. I can't believe it is Saturday already where did that week go, the weeks seem to be running away and before we know it it will be Christmas already.

We have had a super busy week and feel like nothing has got done, we only had Harley one day this week but have had to go to collect the children from school a couple of days. I say we but really I mean David lol.

Talking of David he brought me a lovely present this week, he surprised me with the other 4 sets of Spectrum Noir pencils so I now have the complete set. They were supposed to be for Christmas but he is worse than a child and just cannot keep a secret, hence I have got them now lol.

I was also super surprised to see my youngest son Jake this week who I have not seen for nearly 2 years after he moved away from home and I couldn't get to, to see him. He is now back for good and will hopefully be staying in Lincolnshire.

Well after all my trials for the week I am here to bring you another challenge for My Time To Craft which this week is 'Tag It' so make any kind of tag. I made my tag to go with the card I made last week but I forgot to photograph the back side of it, so will do it in the morning and add then. I cut the tag on my Silhouette Cameo and added the same image as my card for the front of it, on the back I did the top part the same, then added a white section in the middle for a message and a patterned strip across the bottom. I tried to line up the Merry Christmas words so they were visible.

Anyhow here I am with my card for the My Time To Craft challenge where we want to see your 'Santa's'. A nice easy challenge for this time of year and I went with my first ever purchased Santa. It is a retired Sugar Nellie stamp but still one of my favourites. I teamed it with papers from a last year's Papermania pad called At Christmas. My Time To Craft 'Die Cuts Only' Challenge

Hello again it is lovely to be here on this lovely sunny day, it really doesn't feel like October does it?

So this week at My Time To Craft we are using 'Die Cuts Only', that means no image but of course you can use sentiments. I ended up making two cards, the first one I like but there was just something about that I didn't. I am not sure if it is because it would not lay flat and so I couldn't get a decent photograph but hey ho that is on my maybe pile lol. This was a whole card kit from the Silhouette Store designed by Daniela Angelova and went together so easily, these would be perfect for mass producing. The brown card stock has a lovely gold shimmer to it and it is a really good weight for using as a card base.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Limetree Crafts

The second card was one I saw in the Silhouette Store and immediately thought I could have fun with that, it was designed by Alaa K. I cut is out of white card stock and then went to town with broken china distress ink. The trunk was just cut from a scrap of red card and a little bow on the top finished it off. Another card that would be quick to make in the masses and just think of the fun you could have colouring the sections in lots of colours.

Supplies:-
5x7" Card Blank - Natalie & Amy
White Card - Limetree Crafts
Red Card - Bazzill
Ink - Distress Ink by Ranger in 'Broken China'
Ribbon - Odds Box
Sentiment - Jayne Nestorenko

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
Anything Goes With A Twist - Anything Goes 10/10

Crafty Calendar 'Recipe' Challenge

Good morning I have scheduled this post so I really hope it is working for me.

This month at Cafty Calendar Challenges we are 'Playing Bingo', you need to choose three items from the board on the challenge blog found HERE and away you go. I chose Sentiment, Sparkle & Heat Embossing and boy I wish I hadn't, it is so so hard to make them show up hence the different photo's!

We have the lovely Robyn's Fetish sponsoring us this month and were given some image to play with I chose Paul Penguin Sleighing. Now this is the first time I have coloured an image totally in Spectrum Noir pencils and not sure if I like it or not, I think it is the fact that the colours look dull that I can't get around. I cut some tree's on my Cameo and then added fluffy stuff snow to them. I stamped my sentiment with Versamark Ink and covered it in black holographic embossing powder before heating and it really does sparkle you just can't see it lol. I also spray the whole card with Crafter's Companion Silver Spray & Sparkle which again you can't really see. I have decoupaged the image once and then the beak and feet again.

Supplies:-
6" Card Blank - Natalie & Amys
Card Stock - Bazzill
Sentiment - Not known, came on a sheet with lots of images from a craft show

Can you see that sparkle on this angle I sure hope so!

Here is that heat embossing and the beautifully sparkly sentiment!

WARNING Photo heavy.

My family are all coming to my house for Christmas this year so I was looking to create something to go on my window ledge in the bay window as it is a lovely big space that could take it. I have decided to make a winter wonderland scene with shops and buildings so if any of you see any lovely 3d buildings please let me know I would be extremely grateful.

What I have today is Harley's, I am also making another of these for Mia but it isn't quite finished as yet. I will then look into making some shops or building for my older grandchildren.

I love how this house turned out, I used Lori Whitlock's Gingerbread House which comes in three parts and then added a few other bits as listed below main image. I have tried so hard to show this in the dark as it lights up beautifully with just two little tea lights in it but all I keep getting is photo's of the windows lol there must be some technical button I should have pressed.

On this view you can see I added the banner with Harley's name sketched on, I decided to hang my wreath with bakers twine rather than stick it and I also added glossy accents to it. A brad for the door handle and some gems for the gingerbread man's eyes and buttons to finish this side off.

On this side I decided to use Christmas light bulbs instead of the circles that came with it. I did add a star to the top of the tree but it is not easily seen with the overhanging roof.

I couldn't decide whether or not to add another tree on this side or not so it may get changed as yet.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - A really old DCWV pack from 2009 I think
Brad, Gems & Twine - Stash
Glossy Accents - Ranger
Pen - Silhouette
Die Cuts - 3d Gingerbread House #22479, #22480 & #22481 by Lori Whitlock, Christmas Lights #51704 by Miss Kate Cuttables, Assorted  Curved Party Buntings #44263 by Totally Jamie & Star Charm #17340 by Silhouette.

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
Holly Jolly Christmas - Anything Goes Christmas 12/10
Crafting Desert Divas - Anything But A Card 12/10

Now it is your turn to create some home decor for us to see.
