Natalie & Amy's 'Cute & Cuddly Christmas' Challenge

Good morning everyone, thank you for stopping by.

I am here today with my card for the new challenge over at Natalie & Amy's and our challenge to you this month is 'Cute & Cuddly Christmas'. I used this adorable Humphrey's Corner image called 'First Christmas' to make a first Christmas card for a little one who was born in July and named Mason. I got this idea from another blog sometime a go but I cannot find it now so if anyone knows who it was please let me know so I can give credit.

I started with a 6" scalloped square card blank and used a really old snowflake stamp and distress ink's in frayed burlap and tumbles glass to create the background, then cut the large 'M' on my Silhouette along with the sentiment. I used the out of frame cut to cut this super cute little ellie out, coloured with promarkes and flexmarkers before I added glamour dust to his hat trim for a bit of sparkle. Finished off by mounting the image and mat on foam tape for some dimension. All supplies are listed below with those available from Natalie & Amy in RED.

I love how this turned out so may have to try it again but with a difference.

My Time To Craft 'Snowmen' Challenge

Good morning lovely ladies, I hope you are all keeping warm after that temperature drop yesterday and those of you on the other side had a wonderful Thanks Giving.

I am here today with my card for this week's My Time To Craft challenge which is 'Snowmen'. A few week's back my local craft shop Let's Create which is owned by Jo Channon (A regular on create and craft) had a whole day of Little Claire workshop's, which were great fun especially as I won everything I used to create this card! I have a whole host of products all of which I love.

The image is from The Hobby House art pad called 'Warmest Wishes', the designer paper is from First Edition 'Nordic Christmas' and then the ribbon, twine and embellies were all hand picked for the kit by The Hobby House. I added Stampendous Fran-tage (also in the kit) after colouring but my heat gun wouldn't melt it to start and then went made all of a sudden and because I was heating from the back didn't notice until the damage was done whoops.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Sentiment - Crafty Sentiments

That's all from me but just before I go I have to tell you about my little grandson Harley who is now 2 and a half. I was away last week for a few days and left a couple of cards on my desk ready to photograph when home except they were missing. I searched everywhere and found one behind his toy box but could not locate the other until he was here this week and asked. Where was it, in the bin of course because it was YUCK and his reasoning for it was it was BLACK and gold lol. Remind me never to ask his opinion on my cards in future lol.

Guest DT For Elisabeth Bell's World

Good morning, afternoon or evening I hope you are all enjoying your day.

I am here today to share a card I have made as my part of being the Elisabeth Bell's Digi Bell's Collection guest. I made my card using the adorable 'Rachel Little Angel' and she really could be a little angel looking at that face.

I teamed my image with My Minds Eye Miss Caroline 'Dolled Up' papers and a frame and butterfly flourish from the Silhouette store. I am not sue why my sentiment looks bitty but really isn't, I used black holographic embossing powder so it could be where the light has caught the glitter in it. I added stickles to her wings and glossy accents to her hearts on the hair band.

My Time To Craft 'Farmyard Animals' Challenge

Good morning to you. What happened to our mild Autumn it has suddenly become freezing overnight and I don't like that especially as we are having fireworks and a bbq today for our two grandchildren's birthday which were yesterday and tomorrow. Not that we particularly feel like it as both David and I have been ill all week with man flu/swollen glands and no voice, can you guess who has what lol. I am still also struggling with the fallout from my methadone being stopped and the morphine being started.

Anyhow I am here today with my post for this weeks challenge at My Time To Craft which is 'Farmyard Animals' not an easy one and I confess I struggled as I didn't have a single image that suited the challenge so I had to put my Silhouette Cameo to work. I found this little lamb while searching the store and thought it was quite cute with it's sentiment so here it is.

I have had these embossed cards in my stash forever and rarely get to use them but decided this little ewe looked better as a clean and simple card rather than layers. I gave her a little edging with some Old Paper Distress Ink just to make her stand out from the white background. I was trying to work out how best I could bring the embossing out without making my lamb fade into the background. I added a little Mod Podge to the hearts just because I had it out but they actually look quite nice.

Supplies:-
5" Square Embossed Card Blank - Dovecraft I think but as I said I have had them forever
Card Stock - Bazzill
Die Cut - Ewe Are Special #55417 by Sarah Bailey
Gloss - Mod Podge

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
A Crafty Mess - Anything Goes 05/12
Art Impressions - Zoo or Animal 20/11

That's all from me, see you soon.

Silhouette Challenges Ch# 19 "Advent Calendar"

Good Morning!

It's time for another challenge over at Silhouette Challenges. This month is
(Advent Calendar).

Oh dear this had to be a quick make for me as I got my months around the wrong way, not hard for me I know, hence next month's projects is now all ready and waiting! Anyhow this month is all about advent making and I made this lovely large snowman, he is about 18" tall and 9" wide. I made him for the older grandchildren to countdown the days until Christmas but at the same time to help young Harley who is just learning his numbers.

Isn't he adorable? I used a snowflake brad to hold his carrot nose on, then added some googley eyes and some enamel dots for holly berries. I also change the wording on his hat so that it fit in with the children. And there you go super quick and easy.

A close up of the wording.
Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Berries - Enamel Dots
Eyes & Brad - Stash
