Natalie & Amy's 'All Things New' Challenge

So that was another Christmas over in a flash, it is always hard to believe just how quickly it passes after all the hype beforehand.

Anyhow's today challenge over at Natalie & Amy's is 'All Things New' so new supplies, new baby, new home any kind of new.

I received this lovely NEW Crafter's Companion Moonbean Meadow stamp called 'Hugs & Kisses' in my dt package from Natalie & Amy recently along with a few others but I fell in love with this one. Isn't it cute, I hadn't seen these images before then. I decided to have a play around with a couple of NEW Distress Inks which I also had for Christmas as I am changing them all over from the large size to the smaller one's.

I stamped my image with Memento 'rich cocoa' instead of 'tuxedo black' for a softer look, something I haven't done for ages but really like. I then hand cut a heart out of a large post it note and used this is cover my stamping. I took my Distress Ink in Bundled Sage & Tumbled Glass and blending tool and used this to create my background. I coloured my image with Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Pencils ONLY not a marker in site! I just add a piece of baker's twine wrapped around a few times, some little dots with Ranger Liquid Pearl in Opal White and popped the image up with some Collall 3d Silicone.

So my NEW was of course my supplies.

This is my second post of the day please scroll down for my Digi Bells post.

I am still the guest designer over at Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge and this month we would like to see your 'Shaped Cards'. I used the adorable 'Heart Strings' from Sweetpea Stamps. For my card I used a layered doily set I found in the Silhouette Design Store and taking the base shape I copied it, then lined them up together and welded them in Silhouette Studio so that when this now one piece cut it created my card base.  I then cut all the others layers as needed plus the little heart pennant you see at the top of the photo.

Hello all although I am pretty sue I am talking to myself lol at least I hope I am and that you have all had a wonderful Christmas where ever you are.

Today it is my turn to share with you some inspiration using another image from the wonderful Elisabeth Bell Digi Collection. I have used 'Fairy Merrily' and have added her to this shadow box card. My granddaughter Sophie loved it and acquired it for herself before it could even be written in lol. This card is a nice 5" x 7" and folds flat for posting.

Here is a side view to show the different layers.

My Time To Craft 'Christmas Tree's' Challenge

Good morning all, it is nearly time for the big day are you all ready? we are. The presents are all wrapped, the dinner  has been ordered just awaiting delivery on Christmas Eve. It is Christmas Day at our house this year as we have the most room unfortunately, only joking it will be lovely to have all the children and grandchildren round.

Anyhow enough of all that, it is time for another challenge at My Time To Craft and this week we are looking for Christmas Tree's. I ended up making two cards as I made the first one for last weeks challenge before I realised I had done the wrong week oops so I made another to go with it.

Both cards were made with my Silhouette Cameo. The first is a 6" square card and I just love how the trees look in the non traditional different colours. I just added a few sequins that I have had for years to both cards to finish them off.

The second card is a 5" x 7" card and the area's between each tree and the ends are cut out (see next photo).

This will be our last challenge of 2014 and we will return on 3rd January 2015.

Card Stock - Mostly Bazzill with some odd bits mixed in

Guest For Elisabeth Bell's Digi Blog

Good afternoon all, I am here today to share a card I made for my part as the Elisabeth Bell digi guest designer. The card is the one I made for my husband this Christmas and which he was very pleased with, well at least that is what he told me lol.

I used 'Christmas Bells' by Elisabeth Bell of course and it can be found in the Digital Store HERE. This is an 8" x 8" card and so I made my image quite big, coloured and mounted in the frame I cut on my Silhouette Cameo. I also cut the holly corner and the sentiment on it to. The holly berries are covered in glossy accents and shine beautifully and the fur trim of her cape is covered in glamour dust and again twinkles lovely but I just couldn't get a good picture only a lot of reflection grrr.

Crafty Calendar 'White On White' Challenge

Hello again, this is my second post so please scroll down for my My Time To Craft project.

So this month at Crafty Calendar Challenge we would like to see 'White On White' that means all elements except your image need to be white. We are sponsored by the wonderful Elphine House Australia who retail Elisabeth Bell images.

For my card I have used an image from Elphine House Australia called 'Laura With Flowers'. I went with all pastel colours to give a light shade against the white and kept it fairly clean and simple really. I cut the butterfly frame out with it's extra layer of butterflies but before adding them I used a Versamark Clear Pen to sticky up the frame piece and added clear holographic embossing powder to it for a bit of a glittery shine. The butterflies were then attached just be their bodies so that the wings move and some little flowers added to along the bottom.

Supplies:-
6" Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Limetree Crafts

Promarkers, Flexmarkers & Spectrum Noirs Used:-
I have lost my list but will let you know soon sorry.

Have a lovely weekend all.

My Time To Craft 'ATC' Challenge

Good morning all, how are we all doing on this cold and frosty morning?

Today we start a new challenge at My Time To Craft and this week we are challenging you to ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) and let me tell you this was definitely a challenge for me. Having not made one before I was looking for the necessary measurements to start with which are 3.5" x 2.5" and once I saw those I was thinking what on earth can I fit on that!

However I turned to my trusty Silhouette Cameo and came up with two ATC's, go me. The first one was a bit of a trial and I started by creating my size on my cameo mat and then seeing what worked best. I cut a star background and used that as a mask, inking through it with Faded Jeans, Broken China and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks lightest colour at the bottom.  Then cut my three tree's adding the smaller two flat and raising the middle biggest one on foam tape.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill

The second one was actually a card design that I shrank, cutting all the necessary elements but then adding some snow to the ground.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill

I will be back shortly with my Crafty Calendar Challenge post.
 Have a lovely weekend.
