My Time To Craft 'Get Krafty' Challenge

Good morning all and Happy Easter, I hope you are all enjoying your long weekend.

It is time for a new challenge at My Time To Craft and Crafty Calendar Challenge and I decided to create one card to fit both. At My Time To Craft we would like to see you use 'Kraft' on your project and at Crafty Calendar Challenge we are 'Adding Sentiments'

For my card I used one of my old faithful Elisabeth Bell stamps called 'Willow Dressing Up', this is a retired image at the moment but it will hopefully be back soon now that Elisabeth has decided to produce the stamps herself. I teamed my image with papers from First Edition 'Isabelle' collection which I love for the krafty colours it has. A bit of lace, a few pearls and it was done.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy
Card Stock - Limetree Crafts
Designer Papers - First Edition 'Isabelle'
Image - Whiff Of Joy 'Willow Dressing Up'
Medium - Promarkers & Flexmakrers
Sentiment - Papermania
Pearl String - ZVA Creative
Pearls - Home Bargains
Lace - Let's Create

Promarkers & Flexmarkers Used:-
Skin - E21, E50, E00, E000 & R20
Hair - Burnt Sienna, Caramel, Sandstone & Champagne
Dress & Bracelet - Blossom, Pink Mittens & Pale Blossom
Shoes, Bracelet & Dress Band - Caramel, Cappuccino & Champagne

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-

That's it, short and sweet.
Have a lovely weekend all.

Silhouette Challenge 'Use A File In A Completely Different Way' Challenge

Good Morning!

It's time for another challenge over at Silhouette Challenges.
This month is  (Use a file in a completely different way than it was intended).

Do you ever look at a design you have brought and think 'I'm sure I could make something else with it' well that is exactly what we want you to do this month.

I started with this cut file shown below and then ungrouped them and remove all except for the long narrow ornament on the right. I then rotated several copies of this and then simply arranged them to get my flower shape. I used the whole in the middle as a guide to line them up and then selected all and welded. A flower was made, I copied this several times and adjusted the size to get my layers.

Here is my card I made with that flower:-
Supplies:-
6" Square Scalloped Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Die Cut -
Inks - Ranger Distress Ink
Button & Gem - Stast
Twine - Echo Park

Natalie & Amy's 'Frame It' Challenge

Good morning all, it is time for another challenge over at Natalie & Amy's and this month we would like for you to 'Frame It' so create a frame around your image or the focal point of your project.

For my card I used this adorable image from Crafter's Companion Moonbeam Meadow range called 'Time For Tea'. It was coloured with a mixture of pens and pencils then the teapot had a coating of Glossy Accents added to it. The gloss has cracked in places and although I don't know why it has done this it does work for a china look lol. I created my frame by cutting four layers of the two largest die's in this set and gluing them together, I then cut the image from the second largest so it fir snuggly in the frame. I machine stitched all the layers together as well as the ribbon, this is normally a chore for me but I actually enjoyed doing it.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - Prima 'Annalee'
Ribbon - Stash
Dies - Spellbinders Labels 2

All items in RED are available from the store.

Promarkers Used:-
Teapot - Lime Green, Aniseed & Pale Citrus
Bunting - Red Sweater, Vermillion & Lipstick Red, Turquoise, Oasis & Cool Aqua
Tag, Box & Mouse - Caramel, Sranstone & Champagne
Stick - Cocoa & Cinnamon
Leaves & Grass - Forest Green, Bright Green & Leaf Green

Sorry I forgot to write pencil numbers down although there wasn't many.

That's all from me for today, have a lovely day.

My Time To Craft 'Silhouette Image' Challenge

Good morning all, it is time for a new challenge over at My Time To Craft and this week we are all about 'Silhouette's', this can be made with a stamped image, using inks or as I have using a die cut.

I love this image and have wanted to put it on a glass block with fairy lights inside for my youngest granddaughter Mia but mum hasn't decided what colour she wants her new room to be yet. I simply added some little iridescent rhinestone's and this great freebie sentiment from Create With TLC and the job was finished.

6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Rhinestones - Papermania

Short and sweet I'm afraid as I am suffering from bad headaches at the moment, I will hopefully be back to edit soon.

My Time To Craft 'For A Special Lady' Challenge

Good afternoon all, it is time for another challenge over at My Time To Craft and this week we are challenging you to make a 'Mother's Day' project.

As soon as I saw this card in the Silhouette store I knew it was going to be used but I wanted to put vellum behind the cut and the blue card stock on the verse side. However it just looked wrong, I am not sure if it was the colour or the fact that that side of the card just seemed to disappear. Anyhow I decided on putting the blue card stock behind the cut and on the verse side, I added a few gems to finish it off. This would be a great card to make for those who sell them. The card is 5" x 7".

Supplies:-
Card Stock - White Limetree Crafts & Blue Lidl
Gems - Stash

Challenges I would like to enter this card into:-
Crafts 4 Eternity - Mums 20/03

Crafty Calendar 'Add Some Metal' Challenge

Good morning this is my second post of the day, please scroll down to find my My Time To Craft post.

So as I said in my other post I have made two cards for today and I am not sure about either of them, this one is purely coloured in pencils not a pen in sight!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar and this month we would like to see you 'Add some metal' to your projects.

For my card I decided on a new baby card using this old retired Elisabeth Bell stamp that I have had for years and never used! As I said above I coloured her purely in pencils but not sure the blending is done properly so more practice needed I think. I kept the layout fairly simple, added some netting and a ribbon through a slider. Cut a border and added the little metal sentiment.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - Craft Creations
Image - Whiff Of Joy 'Willow With Baby'
Die Cut - Crafty Sentiments
Ribbon, Netting, Slider & Metal Sentiment - My Stash

Spectrum Noir Pencils Used:-
Skin - E21, E51, E00 & E000
Hair - 94, 92, & 89
Baby Blanket - 34, 35 & 41
Mum's Dress - 10 & 11

My Time To Craft 'Zentangle' Challenge

Good morning all and welcome, this is my first post of the day my Crafty Calendar post will follow shortly.

This week at My Time To Craft we are challenging you to 'Use Zentangle' on your creation. Now this challenge totally challenged me from just the first thought of it but once I started it I quite enjoyed it. I should have used darker colours though as these pastels just don't show up in the photo.

I found the flower pattern online from a freebie zentangle sight called Tanglebright and they also had lots of how to for making the patterns. I cut the leaf on my Silhouette and added a sentiment, card finished. It really was that simple and really effective in real life.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Bazzill
Designer Paper - First Edition 'Isabelle'
Sentiment - Inkadinkado
Die Cut - Silhouette

Silhouette Challenges #23 'Use Iron On Transfer' Challenge

Good Morning!

It's time for another challenge over at Silhouette Challenges.
This month is  (Use Silhouette Iron on Transfer).

Boy was this a challenge for me, my transfer material was defective and it was causing me so much trouble. I have worked with the normal type of heat transfer before and never had a problem but this stuff was a real headache UNTIL I got a new piece!

I purchased a pack of the printable heat transfer from an online store and was having so many issue's with it not releasing from the backing after ironing. I wasted 4 sheets of it trying as well as 2 bags and 2 pillowcases as they had a part transferred image on them and once it is stuck you cannot get it off. I eventually contacted the seller and asked if anyone else had returned any to which they said no but they would open a pack and try it themselves. There answer was 'yes it is defective and Silhouette America advise this is due to ourselves having it stored above a radiator and in full sun light, hence it had all fused together.

Ok so all they could do was to refund me and send me a quarter of a sheet that they knew was all right for me to work with. So not much I could do with that as no room for registration marks. I decided my best option was to edit a photo in Silhouette software and use the old way of cutting out by cutting it once on a plain piece of paper and then slotting my heat transfer into that space to cut around it.

Here is the final outcome. It is one of those bags for life which I have several of, thankfully! It actually turned out really nice but would of been even nicer if I could have done what I originally had wanted to.

Here is a close up of the actual ironed on transfer, considering this was just a random photo from my daughter's facebook page of her and my granddaughter it looks really good.

You can it picks up the grain of the bag to create this almost canvas look and if you look closely at the top right corner you will see where it didn't come out to well and had a little extra stick to it.

Elisabeth Bell's World Blog Hop

Good afternoon and welcome to Elisabeth Bell's Digi Bell's February New Release Blog Hop. Hopefully you arrived here from Linda's blog and have already been wowed by her fabulous creation but if you just happened to be passing you may want to head over to the start HERE.

Yet again we have two fabulous images to share with you and I love them both. They work so well individually and also together.

The first image is called 'Anna' and the second is called 'Puppy Surprise', both are available to buy from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection. Now some of you fan's may have seen these images before as they were once release in rubber format as one stamp and sold at S.C.A.C.D.

OK so for my card today I went with a different style and am not totally sure it works but hey ho it is too late to change it now lol. It is a gate fold style card, I added Anna to the front along with a charm and a little twine to hold the card closed, once the top flap is lifted you see the wording (sorry for the bad placement of twine during photographing) and then once that flap is lowered you see the puppy surprise.

I took several photo's as it is difficult to see it all.

This is it closed.

With the top flap lifted.

Both flaps are now open.
Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Image - As Above
Charm & Twine - Stash

A couple of close up's of the images themselves.

Good morning all, thank you for joining me. I wish this weather would decide what it wants to do, it is freezing one minute and then lovely and warm the next.

Anyhow onto the matter in hand, it is time for a new challenge over at My Time To Craft and this week we want to see your 'Lace'. Nice and easy for some but quite a challenge for others, give it a go you might just surprise yourself!

My Time To Craft 'Oriental' Challenge

Good morning, I hope you are all well.

It is time for a new challenge over at My Time To Craft and this week we are going all 'Oriental' one of my least favourite subjects to craft to. I had nothing to fit this challenge so off I went to my local craft store which is run by Mark & Jo Channon (Jo is from Create & Craft for those of you that watch it) and at first Jo was as blank as me until we went rummaging around the store. I decided on the Tattered Lace Die called Oriental Birdcage and those coins you see in the photo.

I cut the die in white card stock and then painted it in Rich Gold Cosmic Shimmer and did the same to my card stock to get the perfect colour match. I found the script on the fan on Google and just cut, folded and inked to get to look the way it does. For my background I cut a bamboo stencil on my Silhouette Cameo and then inked it with Bundled Sage, Old Paper & Frayed Burlap Distress Inks masking off sections until it was all completed and although it took some time to do it this way I like the effect it gave. The sentiment was also found on Google and a little bit of twine to carry my coins and it was done.
All items used linked below photo.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy
All Card Stock - Limetree Crafts
Script & Sentiment - Google
Coins & Twine - Let's Create

Ok now let's see what you can make.

Elisabeth Bell Digi Guest DT Card

Good morning all and welcome to another post from me as my part of the Elisabeth Bell Digi Bells Guest Design Team.

I decided a couple of weeks ago whilst sorting out to try and use my never ending stash of items in my craft room before I buy any more. So with this in mind I made this card using another of the fabulous new release images from Elisabeth Bell called 'Valentine Angel Reading' along with some odd papers, just a few a of the massive amounts of flowers I have and a small piece of ribbon.

"Flowers" I hear you shout, "you never use flowers" and that is exactly why I have so many, well that and the fact my mum purchased a massive selection of them from a car boot sale last year for just a couple of pounds but they are all unusual colours which really throws me. Anyhow I put a few on this card, still not sure if I like it or not but my stash is now 6 flowers lighter lol.

The colours for this card were determined by the flowers, I added glossy accents and then glamour dust to the wings after I first coloured it with a soft promarker.

 Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Natalie & Amy's
Card Stock - Lidl
Designer Papers - Papermania 'Happy Days'
Ribbon - My ever lasting stash
Flowers - Car Boot Sale
Skin - E21, E51, E00 & E50

Wings - Soft Lime
Top - Canary, Lemon, Soft Lime, Orange, Mango & Soft Peach
Trousers - Leaf Green, Green Shoot & Meadow Green
Book - Putty, Antique White, Mango, Soft Peach, Lemon, Soft Lime, Caramel, Cappucchino, Sandstone & Champagne
