Cuddly Buddly 1st Birthday Card for Great Niece

Well folks I can't remember the last time I posted on here, it seems like ages. Due to a computer problem as well as some health problems I have not been around and after I have done this I will be off again until around 9th March as I am going off to stay with my parents to give my husband a rest from caring for me.

Anyway on to my card. I made this card for my husbands great niece who had her 1st birthday on Monday. I decided on a cuddly buddly theme as I find cards for this age range quite difficult. You want something that is bright and cheery but also the order of the day was that it had to be very pink & pink it was!!!

This photo does not really do the card justice. The Cuddly Buddly 1 is attached to acetate and dangles over the top of the card whic Leah found very amusing but wanted it off the card.

This is the matching inside that was made to finish the card off.

Happy Birthday was inserted into the banner using Microsoft Publisher.

Forever Friends Challenge Tall & Thin

Something a little different now as the Forever Friends Challenge is 'Tall & Thin'. I don't normally like this size card as I find it difficult to make things fit but I have given it a go.

I decided that for this card I would stamp my own background using the Forever Friends present stamp which was coloured with Whispers pens

Kaboodle Doodles 'Love Theme' & Crafty Creations 'Hearts Galore' Challenges

There are 2 challenges which my card fits into, the first over at Kaboodle Doodle has the a 'love theme' and then Crafty Creations have the them 'Hearts Galore'. I have made this valentines card for my husband. The 'heart shape' in the centre is made up of 16 die cut hearts 1 for every valentine my husband and I have spent together.

Colour Create Challenge Pink, Green & Brown

This week saw the launch of a new challenge site named Colour Create and they have set their first challenge as the colours Pink, Green & Brown with the added option of butterflies. I have had these papers for some time now and wondered what I would end up using them for. This challenge I thought was a great opportunity.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

I am having one of those days today where I seem to post all my cards one after the other. Anyway this is the card that I have made following the sketch over on Sketch Saturday Challenge. I found this one quite difficult with all those different ribbons to cope with. For some reason the colours have not shown up very well in this photo they all look washed out.

ABC Challenge 'Y Yesteryear'

As a fairly new crafter I don't have many old stamps but I did have this image which was given to me by a friend when I first started so I thought it would make the perfect image for the challenge over at ABC Challenges which is 'Y for yesteryear'. The idea is to use your oldest stamps or papers etc.
