A Girlie Card and Bookmark

EDITED TO ADD A BRIGHTER PHOTO OF THE CARD, I HOPE!
Good evening, I needed a break from Christmas projects so decided to get this card and bookmark made for an order.

I have used 'A Tasty Read' which is a digital stamp available from Elisabeth Bell avaliable HERE or click on the image name above. I use my Cricut so often these days for my mats and layers it was really nice to get out my nesties for this project.

The little oval shape on the end of this bookmark will have a white oval placed on with the child's name on it but I am awaiting the spelling as it is one of those names that can be spelt different ways.

Cardstock - Bazzill
Designer Papers - Prima 'Annalee'
Medium - Promarkers
Dies - Spellbinders 'Classic & Scalloped Ovals'

Crafty Sentiments 'Monochromatic' Challenge

Good morning all.
Sorry I have not been around for a few days my hubby was off work last week so not many cards were made and this week I am playing catch up with dt work plus getting ready for the Crafty Sentiments New Release Previews and Blog Hop (see below).
This week at Crafty Sentiment Designs we would love to see your 'Monochromatic' creations and remember you do not have to use a Crafty Sentiments image but if you have them we would love to see them.

I went with a different style again this week using the sentiment as the focal point and thought this phrase quoted by Thomas Moore was just what was needed for a card for a friend battling breast cancer.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Craft Superstore
Designer Papers - Summer Driggs Digital 'Awareness'
Cardstock - Bazzill
Main Sentiment - Crafty Sentiments Digital Download 'Quotes & Phrases'
Scalloped Shapes - Cricut
Punch - Martha Stewart 'Scroll Lace'

Challenges I would like to enter this card into are:-
Totally Papercrafts - Die Cuts or Punches
Creative Friday - Black, White & Pink
Craft Your Days Away - Monochromatic
Hooked On Crafts - Anything Goes
Digital Tuesday - Favourite Ice Cream Combo 'Strawberry Ripple'
Everybody Art - Anything Goes

Just before I go I want to let you know that we at Crafty Sentiments will be celebrating Christmas in July with a blog hop on the 1st July. There will also be previews on the design team blogs starting 26th June through to 30th June.

One lucky person could win all 5 of the new release image's by posting the above banner on your blog and leaving commenting over the preview days. How easy is that? and believe me as you can see from above they are all adorably cute images just in time for making all those Christmas cards you need to make.

Crafty Sentiments 'Father's Day' Challenge

Good morning all what a lovely week we are having here with the weather being so nice and bright, I jut wonder how long it will last!

Today we have a new challenge for you at Crafty Sentiments Designs and it is to create something with a 'Father's Day' theme and as you will see I went with something completely different from my normal style.

I had had a request for a father's day card for a Scout Leader and it really daunted me until I put on my own old Cub Scout Leader head (yes I used to be a Cub Scout Leader until I took on this new mode of transport and it became a problem lol). I thought about all the time we spent out in the woods going for long walks and camping and this is what I came up with. Charles Bear - Going Camping was just perfect for the scene I created.

I cut the tree from Pooh & Friends cartridge at 4", the grass was cut 4 times over from Plantin Schoolbook at 1". I then used the waste from the green layer of the tree as a template to create the clouds by inking. I made the flag pole from a cocktail stick and then cut the red triangle and hand wrote the sentiment before heat embossing it in white.

Supplies:-
6" Square Card Blank - Crafty Superstore
Sentiment - Hand Written
Embossing - Cosmic Shimmer 'White'

Just For Fun

Good afternoon all, I cannot believe we went out this morning at 9am to watch a friend do a tandem parachute jump for charity. We were home by 11am but I got sun burnt in just those couple of hours, it wasn't even that hot but it was windy so guessing that was what done it.

Anyway I managed to finish this card off that I started yesterday and although I didn't make it for anyone in particular I really like how it turned out and enjoyed making it.

I am really not the best at photography and these easel cards always give me problems so have taken a couple of photo's.
